Accurate Flavour Weight Measurements

One thing I did notice today is that the slight chemical taste I noticed before I think is coming from the bases rather than the flavours. I've got two brands of PG and VG base but I don't want to slag off a particular brand until I've done more figuring out because I'm not certain of anything at this point.

To use Memzey's term, I think it's venting which is what will hopefully be the way to deal with it. I've been venting first every day before shaking the bottle I made on Monday so hopefully, by the time I'm ready to vape it in about a weeks time, it'll be fine and give me a gorgeous vape.
I thought I had the same issue with PG/VG but I in fact had not been shaking my mixes enough. You really do need to give them a very, very vigorous shake in order to get the mix going properly.

get yourself one of these, the 2 pronged attachment fits straight into your bottle, great wee mixers.... saves all that shaking nonsense

Cheers Memzey. I'll give it a go.

I'm sure there's nothing actually wrong with the bases. Just part of their normal properties. I'm still figuring things out though.

It's just that when I make little 3.5ml tasters, which I just shake and vape, to try out a new flavour I still notice the same slight chenicalness regardless of the flavour and flavour brand that I'm using which is what tells me it's the bases.

Another thing I do when I shake up a batch is I always turn the bottle upside down to shake it because the VG is the heaviest component and tends to sink to the bottom.

buy the wee whisker

Its a brill wee whisker for eliquid I have had one for a few years, if it broke tomorrow I would instantly replace it
I had a look at it, looks good. Not used one before. Doesn't look like it would fit in a small opening bottle tho. Might put one on my birthday list lol

I just invert then reset the bottles once every so often. You don’t want to introduce too much air. I think it’s possible to shake or stir the life out of it.
