Advice on coil building for a dripper IGO-W plus

As title suggests, just purchased my first mod(Super T workhorse 18500) and IGO-W plus(RDA). Made a few coils using 24 awg kanthal and 0.15mm nickel wire of various number of windings. All come out at a very low resistances and is a very harsh none pleasureable experiance when vaping.
Used youtube for guidance and this seems the norm? Mainly cloud junkies, but after a more smoother flavoursome vape.
Am I doing something wrong or is it a case of experimenting?

For the time being I'm sticking with my ego style cig.

What's the pg/vg ratio of the juice? I had a similar experience with my first dripper. I found that the higher the vg the smoother the vape becomes.

Show us a picture of you coils, and also, how much airflow you have.
The i go w is notorious for being a tight draw from standard.

The harshness could simply be poor airflow, I'm unfamiliar with that dripper but generally find high numbers of devices have shit airflow when going lower resistances.

In my opinion , it's the airflow in the IGO W I used to have one of those , in fact I think I have still got it need to put it in the freebies as it wasn't for me defo, needs more airflow holes are tiny

+1 on airflow. Get those badboys drilled out to at least 1.5mm each and the vape quality will improve dramatically.

Using 100% PG at the moment.
18mg strength, might be to strong for a MOD or me.
The draw on the igo w plus seems really loose in my opinion, would like some resistance to resemble a real fag and an ego style e-cig.
Other points that maybe an issue are that i'm using cotton wool wick and the drip tip is a short length wide mouth?
18500 battery?

Will now try a thinner gauge wire 28 awg and VG mix at a lower strength.

Ok cheers. Just checked, yes my nicotene liquid is PG based and my dillutant is PG. So this could well be the cause? Thanks

You could put a higher resistance coil in to slower the ramp up time, but yeah 18 in a dripper would be harsh for most but 100% pg........
