Augvape Intake RTA - best coil build for a beginner

When you're upping the power, open the AFC(air flow control) to offset some of the extra heat building up inside the tank to help keep the coil cool(er). If you crank the watts up and shut down the air, it will get hotter and that heat has little place to go. Lower wattage with less air or more wattage with more air, play around in increments(only you know how airey you like the draw).

I've only had one experience with vaping a clapton(dual coil) build, but it was let down by a disappointing RDA(Recoil Rebel), it was used alongside a mesh coil(non-rebuildable, Freemax Mesh Pro) build that blew it out of the water, the build wasn't the issue(it vaped fine all the same), the RDA just didn't cut it(in my humble and still relatively new opinion).

I'll let you know how I get on. Super excited to try the new coils. My friends view was that once you've gone to fused Clapton it's difficult to go back to standard A1 Kanthal coils because the flavour is so superior.

I appreciate people on this thread have recommended getting the build working with my basic A1 Kanthal coil first. And ive no doubt someone with experience could find a way, but I was keen to try anything that might help and I thought removing one variable to simplify things (in this case my probably low quality and highly variable coil builds!).... Here's to hoping [emoji53]

Claptons are where i'm heading next also (i'll proberly stick around 0.6+ builds personally, keep those watts lower and get longer battery use), and i still find myself refining my simple kanthal builds, but the current builds(probably in part due to the tank to) don't seem to be dealing my high VG juices too well (i think the extra surface area with claptons would help). I'm constantly changing things up and looking into new things to try, so not exactly making things easy on myself, but it's all fun and very enjoyable to play around with.

Recently introduced a friend(40+ year smoker) onto vaping and he's jumped right in(very surprisingly and gone deep into the DTL side of it, low nic heavy VG builds) which i never saw coming(given his heavy smoking) but he took to it very well and it's via him i've had the chance to try the Freemax, etc.

Well my mates from the industry. He ran a few vape shops and now he's in trade sales. He says with Clapton's it's about how they hold the juice like a wick. They work like channels and actually wick the juice. Which means when you fire up the coil the juice is there immediately so you're not waiting for heavy VG to get wicked. He recommended a YouTube channel which illustrates the effect well. I can dig it out if you're interested
