Velocity/ speed as well? Like gas or water running through a 15mm copper pipe, the smaller gauge pipe makes gas and water flow faster but the actual volume of gas or water is lower, than it is in a 22mm copper pipe, I think that's how it worksI'm guessing that the drip tip things is because it alters where the vapour hits your tongue. If I remember correctly (big if) then tastebuds are grouped in specific areas.

But I sill wonder if the angle / airflow of a drip tip can generate differences in how the vapour is perceived.
