Am I doing something wrong?

I've been vaping for quite a while now and have just upgraded my aspire nautilus mini and kpow to the kangertech subox kit.

Now I do mix my liquid to

Current mixture is
1.5ml of vampire vape nicotine
2ml of t juice colonel custard
6.5 of boots glycerol (guy in the shop said it's great to mix with I used to use the vampire vape VG)

I can't get my head around the % calculators and I've stuck to this method for a couple of years to make a 10ml bottle of juice.
My problem is I'm not getting loads of smoke?? And think I'm doing something wrong. I must be somewhere. Im running it at 20-25 watts with the 0.5 coil that comes with it.

Just very confused why I'm not getting big smoke clouds. Everything else is lovely! Any help what so ever would be amazing!

The mixture might be a bit thick for the sub tank to wick. But if you have used it before now then I have no explanation other than check your mix again in case you have made a mistake somewhere!

if your mixing 10ml of juice and in that mix is 6.5 ml of boot veg glycerin then your mix is 65% vg and should give of a decent amount of vapour in the subtank.

I just saw my nicotine is PG, could this be why it's not making such a cloud? I read it needs to be as much VG as possible.
What would be the right quantities in ml to make a 10ml bottle of juice?

if your mixing 10ml of juice and in that mix is 6.5 ml of boot veg glycerin then your mix is 65% vg and should give of a decent amount of vapour in the subtank.

Dint get me wrong I get a bit of vapour, but nothing like on some like I've seen using this kit?

most flavours are in pg,your nic is probably pg too although you can get it in vg. i dont think this is your problem tbh.

from reading your other thread you say you take a vape the same as you would take a drag on a fag,when you watch vids of people blowing clouds they are inhaling in a totally different way to how most people smoke fags.

also have you tried turning the watts up? go up say 3 watts at a time and see if that helps maybe.

I'll give it a go, thanks, my main concern was that my mixtures were wrong? What is a safe W to crank it up to without destroying the 0.5 atty?

they are a tiny bit out going by the mixing calcs but only on the nic content. for 10ml of 8mg juice with 1.5ml of concentrate the mix should be

1.1ml of 72 nic =11% nic
7.4ml of vg =74% vg
1.5ml of Flavouring =15% Flavouring


for a 10ml mix with 2ml of flavouring you just drop 5ml/5% off the vg and add 5ml/5% to the flavouring.

none of that is why your not getting clouds though imo.

not sure what watts the 0.5 can handle go up a few watts each time if it starts to taste burnt you have reached it limit

Are you a lung hitter Martyn? I don't want to pee on your chips but most subtanks need a really good lung inhale to pull the juice through and produce vapour. You also might find that your nic percentage needs adjusting. It might be too harsh when lung hit.

Almost everything I vape in a Subtank on a .5 is around 30-35W. So there's your ballpark figure, some I go to 40-45W.
