I'm finding the MTL cap gives atomiser shorts, you seeing this?

Nope I have only used the mtl cap and after the initial fit problems it was plain sailing. Used it for 2 days with a .7 fused Clapton.

If you're getting a short I would slam your build as close as you can to the af pin and test fit the cap (with preasure) before putting it in a boro.

Adding pressure to a test fit is something I think most people miss, when a 510 knut is screwed down it can move a bridge chimney by up to 1mm and cause a short that you otherwise wouldn't notice just placing the cap/chimney on.

Build works fine with the other cap, it's just the MTL one that has this behaviour, not even touched the build. It just goes from 0.9 ohm to 0.07 with the dodgy cap.

Did you check the inside of the cap for burrs?
I thought the caps were identical except for the juice intakes so I have no idea why it could be making a difference

No i thought they were identical but maybe the chimney sits slightly further in on the mtl cap?
