Yeah V-Bulletin is a tad expensive for its mods if you need any help I know a bit of PHP & can find things mods for use on the site I use SMF for my gaming clan site it's great as it is all open source and they have sown up a lot of the old security issues now.

Chat / Shout boxes are great but I have found it over takes the forum at times well at least it does on my gaming clan site but that said we don't really discuss matters like over here at PoTV and chat boxes are a great way for instant messaging.

I will try and donate when I'm settled in as I know the cost of hosting & running servers gets very expensive more than people realise and if it wasn't for generous members so many groups would just go poof and disappear like a vapour cloud.
