What's new

Another new vaper

I seem to keep coming across the drop and drop dead so they must be popular choices. I'm a Direct Lung vaper vaping at 70W at the moment enjoying the warm thicker short drags.

Hey I'm new to this and thought I'd join this forum. I've been off the cigs for just over a week and hooked on vaping already. Taking a look through the forum to gather info as I'm going to look into RTA and RDA now to make it more of a hobby and save a bit of cash. Any recommendations of either of the above for a newbie would be appreciated

Hi and welcome! Congrats on giving up the smokes! I too thought I’d be saving money. Oh dear I wish it were that simple. If you go down the stop smoking route only then you probably will. If you go down the ‘hobby’ route you definately won’t!

Cheers. Yeah I see it can mount up quickly I just want to get away from buying pre built replacement coils as they seem to be expensive.

[Insert generic welcome messag]

Also I would recommend playing around with your current set up first before moving on. I played around with my first vape for a month and then dived straight into RTAs and RDs :)

Hello @Adam4488 , Nice to meet you mate !!!

Welcome to the Apes. You are in the right place to learn everything from vape related to who's animals can poop out the worst items

Hello Adam, welcome to POTV mate.

Congrats on quitting the stinkies Adam...the months will soon fall by. I'm a relatively new vaper myself and haven't got around to the rebuildable stage yet, and for now, happy to stick with stock coils. I've found that the cost of replacement coils isn't that bad, depending on where you get them from. There's plenty of vendors in here, you may find better deals to be had, plus some of the vendors offer discounts if you use the POTV codes available in this forum. Also, the life span of stock coils can vary significantly too. I use Aspire Nautilus coils for my Naut mini & 2 tanks, and at the moment i seem to be burning through the 1.8 ohms ones every few days, i haven't yet worked out why, so these are getting expensive to keep replacing. But the flip side is that also DLT via a Uwell Crown SE tank, and the coils can and do last for months! Seriously, i'm only on my 3rd one & i've been using this tank for nearly 9 months now, so relatively speaking, these are very cheap!

I suspect in time i'll also hop over into the rebuildable tanks too..but i hope you find all the advice you want in here.....loads of friendly folks that'll help you out.

Congrats again, and good luck with it...keep it up mate! :)

Cheers for the advice mate. I've been online searching for juice and ended up getting carried away buying 5 coils for my current tank, more juice and a drop dead RDA fell into my shopping cart [emoji23]. All will arrive tomorrow and I'll start a new thread for anyone interested in how it goes using my drop dead for the first time
