Ive decided to take the plunge into DIY liquids and was just after a bit of reassurance really. I was going to start off by making some GVC as it seems simple enough but just wanted some to make sure Ive got the percentages correct.

I dont get on too well with PG, seems to give me a bit of tightness in my chest, I generally try to stick with 75% VG and above.

Seeing as I will using mostly VG I thought I might as well just go to 100% and if I need to thin it out Ill just add some distilled water.

Im going to order a starter pack from makemyvape.co.uk:

2 x 200ml VG
1 x 72mg - 50ml nic
some flavours and accessories

I am going for the basic recipe of:
7.5% to 15% Cap vanilla custard
2% TPA dulche de leche
EM 2 drops per ten ml

Except they don't have TPA it will be flavour west instead. Is there much of a difference between the two? Can I use the same percentages?

Im using the calculator on e-liquid-recipes.com and from this to make a 30ml bottle @3mg nic the percentage will need to be:

Nic - 4.2%
VG - 81.8%
Cap Custard - 12%
FW Dulche - 2%

Like I said I'm new to this and just wanted to know if there was anything obvious that I was doing wrong or if there were any recommendations/advice?

Cheers
Mike

All looks good to me! I'm no expert but I wouldn't have thought there is much difference inbetween the dulce de leches. The percentages are ok.

I personally use about 13-15% custard, 2% dulce de leches and 3% of Bavarian cream or sweet cream.

as above

I do find steeping Custard s for 2 weeks or more improves the flavour greatly (for my taste anyway)

Hi Mike,

Sorry I didn't see this sooner! Great to hear you're interested.

Your recipe looks great, though be aware it's difficult to get 100% VG as our flavours (FW, CAP and TFA - same as TPA) are carried in PG, but your recipe gets you pretty close to your goal.

The CAP Vanilla Custard is a great flavour choice, but I personally find it to be overwhelming at high percentages (Bad history with vanilla flavours) so maybe keep that one a bit lower, this'll also mean you have less PG in the mix.

Finally, if you haven't already, you'll see that we offer nic in a VG base, which should help you.

If you've got anymore questions PM me and I'll get back to you :)

Happy Vaping and good luck

Tom
