Hiya all

Been vaping for 2 weeks now and not had a cigarette since :)

I've started out with EVOD kit but didn't really like the cigarette flavour juice I originally got with the kit along with fairly nasty throat hit I was getting. Since then I have discovered that I like higher VG mixes (Mystic Vanilla and Article Ice) and recently discovered Waves of Vapour Custard Cream Biscuit (yummy - more flavours on the way).

I'm generally quite happy with the EVOD but wonder what might be a good way forward without getting too geeky with rewiring things! ;)

Any help much appreciated.

Ian

Hi Ian and welcome to the planet. Evods are relatively new and popular. I use them myself for day to day ease of use and performance. Congrats on switching to Vaping

Thanks Mark. Do you know if the Kanger Protanks are any better than the EVODs? Thought they might be worth a try...

Interesting one this. I have a Protanks and I've not offered my views on it here yet. If I'm honest, though its larger capacity, made of quality materials including a Pyrex tank...and it looks the nuts...it doesn't perform ..for me...anything like as good as the Evod. Its ok. Durable. But the Vape just isn't what I expected.
Others love them though. Just my opinion. Many are recoiling themselves and fiddling with the wick to make them better neither of which have I got round to trying

As an owner of 3 protanks and 3 Evods, you can gather I love them :) But I have to state that I find the game changer for me is rewicking them :) I use 2 x 2mm silica wicks and 0.2 wire, 4 wraps, and its 1.8 ohms. Very straight forward to do, and flavour/vape is excellent, much much better than premade coils.

No faffing or fuss and excellent for work and out and about. If I could only use premade heads, I wouldnt have more than one of each :)

Oh, and welcome to the planet Ian :)

Thanks for replying. That's a shame about that - I'm not really looking to re-wick and mess about too much - for the moment at least. Looking for something which performs better than the EVOD but "out of the box"

Hi Andy. Sorry I replied before reading your post. How easy is it to re-wick. I've no idea how this is done.

If I can find it, I will PM you the link. It really is straight forward, and takes less than 5 minutes. The difference is really astounding :)

By the way - what battery pack do you use with your Protank?
