Any modders want an X6 with faulty board for messing with?

I have an ego X6 that I blew the board on messing about so in terms of electronics it is probably BER, that said there is a decent ally shell and 1300mah battery inside that I thought might be useful for someone to try and crack into and perhaps turn into a bit of a mech mod perhaps? If not I will keep hold of it and might have a go myself oneday but if not gimme a shout and I will post it out for you.

I would love for this to go to one of the recognised modders who fettle with this stuff quite a bit as to be honest I am fascinated to see what you might be able to come up with

It's just the body, no charger so if you want to keep the body the same you will need to shave off a few mm from the very top as the X6 charger pin protrudes further than a standard ego one by a touch.

Its a black one btw.

I'm up for this challenge..although not a recognised modder I would happily pay you the postage...if I cant do anything wiht it, I'll pass it on in the same vein

Vern, it will probably take a bit of expertise in firstly getting the gubbins out and the secondly fabricating a button for it, as I said the electronics are fried so from that perspective it will need something unique doing to it to breathe life back into it. Do you reckon that is something you could do or should I wait first and see if one of the fabricator types chimes in first?

it may well be beyond me, I've only spent 15 years repairing laptops in a past life:-) and as a mechanic /fabricator before that

I'm cool either way, I got some time now but no ideas what to do with that tube. If someone has an idea it should rather go to them

thanks...as much as I have no imagination right now, hopefully I can stare it down, twiddle it a bit, caress its curves and come up with something...if not, it'll go to someone worthy via the same method

No worries. The shell itself is actually really good, small and light but fits well in the hand. If someone could knock up a mech button for it I would be very interested to see how it turns out.

I will box it up now but it will probably get dropped off tomorrow, just to save a little bit I will send it 2nd class if thats ok
