Anyone Heard Of Blue Star E-Liquid For Mixing?

My local market stall sells their eliquid and it was nasty, very artificial tasting. I don't know what their unflavoured base is like (didn't know they even did it) but if their flavoured stuff is anything to go for I'd avoid.

I have just got my maths head on and I can mix 500ml of 18mg 70/30 base for about 15 or 16 quid.. so you are better off buying separate components and mixing it yourself..

Go4smoke or Vapers Emporium for your 72mg nic base (VE cheaper on smaller qty's G4S cheaper for 500ml but not by alot)

To make 500ml of 18mg 70/30 base you need..

125ml of 72mg PG nic Base
225ml of PG
150ml of VG
An empty 500ml Bottle

But why would you want 70/30 base..?? once you add PG based flavours your total PG content is going to be crazy & you will have alter the nic content depending on % of flavours required..

Buy the individual ingredients and mix it up using a juice calculator.. its much easier in the long run and cheaper & you stay in control..

Just my opinion like.. :P

@Purpleflower thank you, I was slightly wary of there 'e liquid ratings' seemed a little funny and thought the website quality wasn't very professional so thought the juices might be abit naff

Cheers Ditch I was sent them links yesterday not long after posting this, I wasn't sure what the base would do if it was already mixed with PG. I will mix my own thank you :-)

Ditch also what % ratio would you recommend? 50/50 or 60/40?

Could you show me an example please as my brains goes into confused mode with different %'s (damn medication :( )

I take it you mean 50/50 or 60/40 VG/PG ratio..???

Everybody is different.. more VG gives you clouds of vapor.. but PG carries flavours better thats why nearly all the flavour concentrates come in a PG solution.. some of the cheap china import juices have 80%+ PG content this means they can use less flavour concentrate in the mix to end up with the same perceived flavour..

Then to complicate it more.. VG is smoother and slightly sweet.. PG is very flavour neutral.. so this can also affect the end results of a mix..

Personaly I aim for 60VG/40PG in all my own mixes and purchased juices.. 50VG/50PG is as low as I go willingly.. but I have a couple of nice 70PG/30VG vendor juices, but as a rule of thumb I find juices with higher PG very harsh and okay for a quick blast but I cant vape them for very long without a break..

So.. % ratio.. recipe examples... ermmm...

Right for 10ml of 12mg 60VG/40PG juice using 17% flavour (just cuz thats what loaded in the calculator right now)

1.67ml of 72mg nic base, .63ml of PG, 1.7ml of assorted flavor concentrate, 6ml of VG

Same thing but 50/50 would be

1.67ml of nic base, 1.63ml of PG, 1.7ml of assorted flavour concentrate, 5ml of VG

Thank you Ditch thats cleared it up somewhat I wasn't sure whether it was PG or VG which made the flavours stronger.

Looking at all my current liquids im vaping 60/40 PG/VG.

If I wanted to make 10ml of Vodka & Redbull (just as an example) at 18mg from 72mg would I be correct in thinking.

I'd grab a 10ml empty bottle

Drop 2.5ml of nicotine in

3.6ml PG

2.4ml VG

And 1.5ml of flavouring (at 75% red bull, 25% vodka ROUGHLY)
1.1ml Red Bull and .4ml Vodka

And then shake it up and drop the bottle into either the airing cupboard or in warm water in a ultrasonic cleaner?

Cheers Pal :) appreciate your patience and time to help

That looks and sounds about right to me fella.. I have not seen a vodka flavour.. :-)

Huggett Your maths is off somewhere, presuming your flavours are PG based.. dont forget that the PG in the nic base and the PG in the flavour concentrates add to your total PG.. it looked right when I was out and about earlier and just checked it now I am home on the Juice Calculator.. They say a picture paints a 1000 words..

What you suggested gives you 76PG/24VG As I have shown here

If you want 60PG/40VG like you are already using it should look like this

How I would do it at 50/50

@Ditch oh... :/

That's what the POV calculator told me, I also didn't realise the Nicotine or Concentrates contained PG :/
