Anyone use FastTech?

gotta agree .. the one time I used them they were Useless

I ordered something from them one time and they were just to SO Slow. Slow as you can go. It would've been quicker to walk to China and pick it up myself. No. Not for me. The postal charges Should be higher to get it quicker, I'd have paid for that.

- fantastic customer service, reasonable to stupidly fast delivery time on great, well made products

-long/ very long/ indefinite wait for your purchase to arrive (or in some cases not arrive), awful customer service and promises of refunds that never materialise, familiarity with the paypal dispute system is essential just incase, items rarely as described and often requiring user modification in order to perform well/ be safe to use

Bet you can't guess which statement describes the majority of well known UK/EU/North American vendors and which describes fast tech ;)

Now that there's a whole host of reputable UK based vendors selling very good, often 1:1 *whispers* clones ....there really is little need to take the gamble with companies like fast tech

I have bought scores of products from fast tech and have never had the problems you've mentioned APART from the annoying delivery times.

But obviously other people will have different problems with different vendors.

I've bought EXCELLENT mods from them; it's a case of looking at the user reviews. If you buy someone no-one else has recommended it could be guff. If you buy, say, the nemesis mod with over 200 reviews, it'll be fine.

I'm in with Rukaguy. If you want something yesterday, it is a bad idea to order anything from China unless you are paying DHL etc. for delivery. "Order and forget" is the way I play it.

I order loads of consumables from FT, and always choose Chinapost as the delivery option. Every order I have made by Chinapost has arrived within three weeks.

Another thing to remember is that there are lead times (shown as "ships in X days" under the price of the items. If one is showing as two weeks, your whole order will be delayed for that period, plus normal delivery time. Worth ordering stuff in "like delay" batches. :D

If you buy lot's of stuff - best to split it into many small orders, bigger parcels seem to arouse suspician at customs + if it should go missing in transit you've lessened the ods of losing everything

i couldn't agree more! and as happened to me just yesterday if there is something damaged or missing from your order just follow the online instructions and all will be fine,
the missing item from my order is being resent but i was offered a refund if i didn't want to wait, i don't see what else they can do

You can. There are many postage options, some free and some you can pay for. I've found china registered to be the best in my opinion.

I love FastTech, and it offers me products I just wouldn't buy if I had to pay UK proces (plus P&P) for - but it is a long wait, so you do develop skills in patience.

My best time was my first orders which got here in about 12 and 14 days - most orders since have been around 4 weeks

Of the products I've ordered, only one was completely unusable (a mini dripper that had a 510 connector too small for a 510 fitting). I did raise a ticket in the hope they'd just refund me, but they offered a refund on return, which just wasn't worth the hassle for a couple of quid, so I left it.

I've bought a lot of genuine and cloned Protanks. The genuine ones were obviously fine, the more expensive clones were as good as the originals, only the really cheap Protank 1 clones (with polycarbonate tanks) were a bit lower standard, but that's the chance I took on the dirt cheap ones, and they are still useable (have recoiled them, so hoping they'll be better now, but they don't make a connection with all my batteries, and obviously they're not good for tank-cracking liquids - but I knew that when I bought them).

Bought original Innokin VV and SVD, which have been perfect as expected, though Myepack are offering the VV at only a few quid more now, so that's become more attractive - worth paying just a few quid more for really quick delivery and easier rectification if there's a problem.

Still waiting on a couple of deliveries of items dispatched on 1st March & 17th March (including authentic Protank Mini 3 - can't wait!)
Spent a disgusting amount over the last few days on a lot more bits - mostly mech mods. Mostly ordered separately to reduce any financial risk if anything didn't show up and to prevent the delayed shipping on some of them holding up shipping on the rest.

If something's showing a few days delay, they will hold the entire order until it's all ready for shipping (if an extended delay is anticipated, they will often voluntarily split the order and send what's ready) - but it's easiest to just split them yourself into separate orders from the outset, because some items shown as immediate shipping get delayed after ordering, and then your whole order gets held up waiting for one item.

Though I know they have frustrated a few people being awkward about refunding orders that didn't show up, they seem to come good in the end most of the time. You also have protection through Paypal, so as long as you're not spending stupid amounts per order, it can be worth it - and if the odd cheap item isn't much good, the money saved on everything else more than covers the loss on the odd dud.

Hi
I've been looking at FastTech website and the prices including shipping seem excellent.
Anyone use them? Any catches?

What is delivery like?

the only catch is it takes between 3-6 weeks for delivery thats about it i use them often keep ur orders down around $30 or u might incur customs charges saying that though i ordered $120 worth of stuff and FT marked the envelope with a value of $12 they're good that way
