Arctic fox, very impressed!

Hi everyone, I hope you are OK.

I used the search function, and could not find anything on the arctic fox firmware- I may be using the function wrong, but if there isn't a thread, I thought it would be good to have one.

Arctic fox is custom firmware for Joyetech/Wismec/Eleaf mods, and is virtually a clone of Escribe, and making your mod customisable, and including a device monitor to monitor things.

I have only installed it on my Evic VTC mini so far to test out, and it is brilliant. I am going to put this firmware on all of my mods that can run it.

I really feel with this firmware the Joyetech mods are now some of the best available at their price point. There is the 510 issue, but it turns your mod into a budget Evolv mod in my opinion. TC works well, not as smoothly as something like a DNA200 according to the device monitor, but bloody close! Using SS316L I am getting very smooth performance.

I did hear about it a while ago, but I am on a mac, and they don't have an installer for OSX. I used virtualbox today though and it installed fine.

I haven't heard of anyone having any issues with it on VU, and everyone seems impressed with it. It works very well indeed, I am going to install it on all of my mods that can run it.

If you need any help with the install, let me know, it is pretty simple though with the program. Just connect your mod, and run the update and it will be on there.
It comes pre set up with Ni200, Ti, and SS 316, and two other TCR profiles plus a power profile. You get 8 profiles, just like Escribe, and can add profiles for wire types, preheat, etc. It does seem to be a close copy of Escribe, but for Joyetech boards.

Does this firmware affect the vaping, or just the menus ?

I've got it installed on my 2/3. The smart profiles are the function that I love most. I've named them according to my atty e.g. Troll, Goon, RDTA etc
Lots of stuff that it does that I don't understand so staying clear until I have studied the readme.

Ok thanks, was just worried in case there was any malware etc (as it looks like a russian site or am i wrong ?) before downloading stuff to my computer, but it looks like you've had no problems so i'll give it a go when i get some time to do it. Thanks again and all the best

It does effect the vaping. You can change many things, just like Escribe. Want a preheat of 70W while vaping at 30W? You can do it. Want to change the preheat curve? Done. It really it amazing, and I feel a fool for not adding it earlier to my mods.
