Are UK folks the thickest

Looking at the news I hope the Welsh government keep us looked down.

They won’t, they’ll do what they always do and follow England. They should be imposing local lockdowns imo - for example, we’ve got clusters associated with food factories in Anglesey and Wrexham. Those 2 areas should be in a proper lockdown.

Are cases starting to increase over there again? I’ve been expecting cases here to start going up over here again too, but it doesn’t seem to have hit ... yet.

Still the equivalent of a plane crash dying everyday, and then there's the deaths not reported, or included in the stats.

Dunno what to think, I went in the sea yesterday, because I live by the sea I was able to do so at 9am. No problem, I was the only one in the sea, a few on it. Camber Sands down the road was crazy mad, but it always was, even in the 70s. Tiny road in, tiny road out, as well.

Yes, I still think there are too many cases, and sadly, deaths, I didn’t mean to come across as dismissive of those. It is still too many. I just meant that, after the BLM protests, and the folk hitting the beaches earlier this month, we haven’t (yet) seen a dramatic increase in cases. I thought that a certainty, I’m not sure what to think now.

We haven't had a local death for 3 weeks now. I think outside of the cities there's similar situations all over the country. That isn't going to last though when the folk from the more heavily infected areas start moving around.

UK government are a joke. Don’t go out, go out only if you have to.
Don’t go to work, unless you have to, then you can go to work
Then you’ve got Cummings going to visit his mum.
BLM marches but can’t stop them or it’s racist.
It’s been a fcuk up from start to finish

The Gov plan is to keep covid in out lives that way it will bring down the Govs expenditure on Pensions and disability pay. Problem is not mixed messages it is Incompetance by our Gov. Yes they seemed to be doing the right thing for a few weeks. But it is getting to the point where the rich are moaning because their bank balances are going down, some of it money that will never be spent and will lie in bank accounts untouched. This is the money Govs should be taking money thats just going to waste.
Every Generation has its perils. Millenials moan about their generation have no future etc. Imagine being a school leaver in the 40's.
The racism thing does need dealing with but it's racism as a whole. Protesting has the capacity to cost lives but no one cares. Covid doesn't care what race you are.

Wrexham is where my local hospital is - they’ve just had a cluster of 166 (so far) cases associated with a meat processing plant. I don’t think we’ve seen our first ‘peak’ around here yet, we’ve been a fair way behind much of the UK throughout. :19:

Yep, not like it was in march or april, of course, but the tendency and numbers are there: something is just not OK.

I can understand many things, country cant be closed up anymore or our economy will fall to non recoverable levels and we would be dealing with serious issues. We are pretty fucked up already anyway...
What I cant understand is, with known in hand, why people dont take it seriously? why people think it just dissapeared? why our gobernment dont set real rules for the new normality?

By the way, I saw in the news what happened in Liverpool last night. Then they showed some overbooked beaches also there around UK. Speechless

Only the vulnerable or people protecting the vulnerable care.
Everyone else is fuck you Jack i'm alright let's party,

Why people don't take it seriously? .... Many reasons I would imagine, I used to smoke, I never took lung cancer seriously. At the start many people were giving it the old "just a bit of flu mate" all over social media. Many people tend to always think 'It won't happen to them' whatever the threat is. Lots of people don't know anyone personally who had died so it appears less of a threat than it is. Some people live in areas where the infection rate has been very low. ... then there's all the conspiracy stuff.

I don't think anyone thinks it's disappeared. They either don't believe the threat is as large as it is, or it was never real in the first place, or they are just going crazy after being locked in doors for months and can't take it any more.

Real rules for the new normality? I don't know what that is but it sounds scary.

Too much to ponder... trouble is complex.

New normality is real. Must be real. And rules are needed.
Maybe the word "rule" is too much, I mean, maybe a set of precautions and recommendations. For example, nobody should take the underground or a bus full of people without wearing a mask... not yet.

Dunno mate, somethig for promoting common sense.

We are still in the middle of contagion in many countries. We should put and take some measures in order to stop or try to stop the spread. (at least until vaccine or remedy comes out)
