What's new

Asking for a little help....

You wouldn't believe how much I agonised over that exact same point.
My missus insisted it was shot's and I insisted it was shots, naturally we compromised and went with shot's
Of course! It's def shots as it's just a plural. Enjoy telling her she was wrong, if you dare ha ha.

Looks good to me mate. Simple, easy to use, clear to navigate, etc. Like the plain b/w layout. Agree with comments posted so far. Def wd change "complaints" to "customer service" or something. And def no apostrophe in shots.

I would add that the free shipping banner at the top is a bit low contrast, could perhaps do with a lighter text. IMO a coloured background here might be a nice touch and draw attention to it.

Personally I'm not mad keen on the logo graphic. Can't really see it properly (I'm on a desktop) and those "vape in motion" graphics have been done to death. I think a nice simple logo would work, again perhaps a reserved spash of colour here would give the store some personality. If it were teal for example, you could reuse this colour throughout key elements of the site - e.g. make links go teal when hovered over.

Just my 2c.... you did ask for feedback. Overall I think you've done a smashing job. SEO looks decent too. If you're hoping to get shares on FB etc and you haven't already, you might want to check out this tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

Could you suggest an alternative lee?

I use PayPal website payments pro and their pay flow service for card payments, and cardinal commerce for 3D secure and PCI compliance :)

You’d have to give PayPal business a call to sign up to it, I’m not sure if there is a minimum turnover required or something but I think @Mist Elite went through the application recently and ended up going with another provider for cards, hopefully they can offer some advice for you mate!

Thank you so much for the info Lee, I'll definitely look in to it ASAP.
Is there a lot of red tape to navigate in terms of getting paypal payment pro?

Thank you so much MHL, I wasn't mad keen on the logo my self but again, creative decisions were my missus department.
Definitely looking to upgrade in the short term.
Unfortunately we haven't fully cracked Facebook as a marketing tool at the moment although we realise what a crucial marketing tool it is

I wouldn’t say red tape as such, the whole process took about a week for me and the guy I dealt with was really nice! They’ll just call you to go through some form filling, inspect your website small print and ask you to add a few lines in there, about all to be honest. It’s by far the easiest to setup out of the ones that will actually accept vape payments!

I think they are just a bit picky about who they let have pro, I think they’re looking for a track record so it may not be ideal if it’s a fresh PayPal account. Although I may be wrong :)

The 3D secure and PCI compliance on the other hand is a ballache but you have to do it to legally take card payments now :(

If you need any help along the way, just shoot me a PM and I’ll do my best to answer anything if it helps out.

hi guys, old lurker here, I constantly stalked this forum when I fell deep in love with the insane passion we all have for vaping.
Changed my job, found a partner, had a kid and suddenly found i didnt have time to peruse the forums and watch the YouTube vids i loved anymore.
Fast forward to 2020 and I convinced my missus to sink every penny we have into starting up online, bear in mind I'm well aware its an extremely saturated market i knew I was not going to be an overnight millionaire, but if it pays for a holiday for us and the 2 kids every couple of years ill be quite happy.
All that being said i am by no means a web designer and doing this on a shoe string, i was forced to do it my self which gets to the crux of my whole post.
The only people I have been able to ask for feedback on the site are friends and family which will lie through their teeth and say its amazing when I can clearly see its not.
I'm after a good old bit of honest feedback, what I could improve and what you would do differently.
I can pay anyone to do this at the moment because we have sunk every single penny we have into it but as a way of saying thank you use the code POTV for 20% off all eliquid.

I personally hate it, but Instagram seems pretty popular with vendors too, since it’s become the new Facebook recently
