Atomiser heads

I recently started upgrading my gear and getting adventurous, just out of curiosity how often does the atomiser/atomiser head (currently using the highly advised and popular evo-d) need chaging, i noticed vapeescape sell them in packs of 5 whereas other places sell them individually.
I am sure there is no clear cut answer to this question but a ball park figure in terms of refills would be very handy.

While i am here, am i correct that the lower the resistance the more vapor is produced but can reduce the flavor? or is it the higher resistance, and how does the different resistance of atomisers work with variable voltage devices?

I think both will work the same on a vv device, just the voltages will be different.. I have an evod, best clearomizer ive used. I use it with my ego vv and both Ohms give me the same performance at different voltage levels (for 1.8ohm I set it around 3.7ish 2.5ohm/4.4v) I also use the 1.8s for my standard fixed voltage egos.. And the heads should be around £2. If you find a discount code from where you order they could get as cheaper, I get mine for around £1.70 each.. Hope that helps.

Edit- change the heads once they burn out.. I burnt out my first yesterday! Lucky got a couple spares!

How long were you using it before it burnt out? just curious as to how many spares i should keep kicking round the house i like to try and make sure i got what i need on a monthly basis so i got plenty of time to get fresh if something goes wrong.

This is quite a hard one, some can pop straight away, and others can last a few weeks. I have a rebuilt head that has been in a Protank for 3 weeks, and still going strong :)

Have you thought about rewicking these yourself?? Its much cheaper, easy to do, and flavour is better :)

My evod head has lasted 13 days so far, filling up the tabk about once a day, ive made sure to rinse out the wick qhen I refill to try and dislodge any gunk. Currently its reading 2.5ohm and draw is less than when it was new but taste is the same

It lasted me around two weeks ish.. But im sure i sped up the process by testing it at all types of voltages before finding the best setting.

just as a fyi, rebuilding the heads is really quite easy. i only got my first rba on saturday and after reading this thread decided to take my evod apart. I used Todds guide on Youtube and had a nice fresh head tooting away within 10 mins
