Extremely new to building and TC, but have a Cubis tank and rebuildable coil. I want to use stainless wire at about 0.5 ohm.
my question is what size wire would you reccommend I get, and what basic size and wraps I should go for.
Thanks in advance

Hi @G-BAD
Wiser apes will be along in a minute, but personally I don't think stainless steel is the best wire to start your tc adventures with. It's the one I find hardest to get a decent tc build with, although it seems to work fine in wattage mode. It is a nice wire to work with however. It's just my tuppence worth, though, so probably best to wait for the tc apes to give you better advice!

The TC accuracy for SS wire is poor, better to start with some 0.3 or 0.4 mm NiFe30 from Stealthvape, use the Ni200 profile as at 390f the temperature response curvves meet up and you can adjust up or down to suit...

I agree with the above, a stable TC build is easier to achieve with NiFe wires.

If you are set on SS for whatever reason, my advice would be to think about the number and diameter of spaced wraps you can comfortably fit in there, and then choose a wire gauge that will put that build at 0.5 Ohm or higher (using Steam Engine's Wire Wizard, for example). It looks like you can fit 8 x 3 mm spaced wraps in there easily (based on this slideshow) so you'll probably be fine with up to 0.4 mm (26 g) wire.

The reason I want to build ss is that I can use it on wattage if its not working too well. I built some nickle coils in my velocity and for some reason it didn't work. A complete waste.

Update. Been using SS 26g and managed to get a real nice vape from my Snapdragon in TC.
Stainless as overcome the problem with temp control as I can revert to wattage when its not working for me.
Thanks J
