I have 2 18350 batts I got from torchy, both take about 4hours to charge but only last maybe 3hours of average vaping on my SVD with PT2, also have a 18650 which takes about 6 hours to charge and get about 4 hours vaping! oh and my charger is a trustfire(I know not the best!) do these times seem normal? seems I'm charging 24/7! swapping all the time. thankfully I have evod batterys which last all day while at work.

So many variables,
How much resistance in the coil
How many volts your Vaping at
How often you vape
How long you draw for

The list is really endless. I use 18350's on a sigeli zmax. When i first started with it it used to last me half a day..... Now that I'm not powering it all day long though it last me pretty much all day!!! Charge time is ruffly 2 hours in an xtar charger. Efest i know do an awesome charger for about £30 which will do 2 at a time and has an LCD display. As for your charge times i can't really say..... as i have different bits. A good charger for good batteries is always my motto. And i like to geek out and always make sure I've got the best thats available at the time.

Two questions:

Doesn't the SVD have a voltage readout? What does it say with a freshly charged battery?

Is there a switch on the side of the Trustfire charger to set the charging level?

Indeed many variables!
the trustfire is set at 3.6, no fresh battery to check at the moment (on charge!)
think i'll buy a better charger, probably safer too
thanks for answering

Some chargers have different levels at which they can charge (2 of mine can select from 0.25a 0.50a or 1.0a). The higher the amp/hour setting, the quicker the battery will charge, but a note of caution .. charging smaller batteries at higher levels is regarded as being less safe because the batteries heat up and overheating batteries can lead to thermal runaway (exploding batteries and possible resulting fire).

I'm no expert, but if it's any help to you at all, I tend to charge 14500s at 0.25a, 18350s no higher than 0.50a and 18650s at 1.0a.

Does the Trustfire have a 4.2 setting? That's the voltage that you'd expect for and 18*** battery

Only setting is 3.6 and 3.0, read somewhere to set it at 3.6. Maybe not getting the full charge then? I take them out as soon as the light turns green.

waiting on them charging right now(since about 6 o'clock) 2x18350's, going to bed soon, if not charged i'll have to unplug them!

One last thing, you didn't say whether you got the 18650 from Torchy or not. Can you confirm?
