Hi guys i noticed that my battery has a tiny dent in it i thing it may be from charging. However i charge them through the mod. I just wanted to know if this is safe to use or if i should get rid of them asap.

Thanks

For the cost of batteries I would never risk using a damaged one, that is not to say these are unsafe though.

Also charging in the mod is generally frowned upon as you are not guaranteed a balanced charge between the two cells which can cause issues. Charging using the mod in an emergency should be OK, but doing it all the time can cause issues from what I have read.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help but someone more knowledgable will be along shortly

The only time iv had this happen to my cells is when I drop my mod with them in or if my brother uses one of my mechs and overtightens everything and I don't think it can happen with a charger but that's not the point [emoji5] tiny little dent in the bottom like that I'd say is fine iv used cells with dents a little bigger than that for months with no problems [emoji5]

Battery should be fine at that!
OOOOoooooo, is that a "Quality control" sticker i see! ijoy are on the ball!

It's impossible to say if it's safe or not. has it damaged the cell inside ... who knows?

More to the point you need to find out how/why this happened. Your mod shouldn't be doing this to the cells.

I see what your saying. But how do i workout why this is happening?

when i first made the step up to a box mod i charged in the mod until i bought a proper charger as it was made very clear to me on here only charge in the mod in an emergency, head over to @Ben fogstar and pick yourself up a decent charger for next to nothing and remember there is a POTV discount code and also there is usually a friday discount of 20%, perfect timing id say

well, it's not from charging, either it's been smashed in with a drop or pushed in by the mod, it's taken some force somewhere along the line.

It's the mod

Every mod I've had that uses a battery door like that dents them slightly over time or when dropped, it's why I don't use that type of door now
