Battery safety and Sub Ohm vaping...

I received a nice response from Torchy to my question of what to put in an EVIC VTC mini, 30-50w @ 0.5 ohm.

For longest vaping time, Torchy 3000mAh, item 291653443943. For best value, LG HE4, item 121852618448

Of course, I had already bought 2 25R's and an HE4, so I've not tried 30Q's yet!

I'm getting a reasonable amount of use out of a 25R from fasttech using TC at 0.24 ohms

Anyone watch the latest ideal ohm show I know it's long but some good information on batteries

I've recently switched to HE4's from efest 3000mah and am very pleased with them. They are lasting around 4hrs longer than the efest @ 0.5ohms on a Joyetech cuboid around 40watts. I nearly get a full day with the HE4's and I am quite a heavy vaper.

This may or may not be a silly question, but I take battery safety very seriously so thought I'd ask...

I have multiple dual 18650 devices. Those that I already have have only ever been used with their own paired 18650s. Is that overkill or is it ok to use paired 18650s in different dual 18650 mods? I ask because I've my eye on a couple more dual 18650 mods...

@tony g as long as the batteries stay paired throughout their lives, it doesn't matter which mods they are used in.

I bought an Istick 100w from a local vape shop recently and needed some batteries to go with it. By a sheer fluke and despite being totally clueless about what I was buying, I have ended up with a pair of Samsung 30q's from Torchy. So at least my fingers and face are safe for the time being.

One question I do have is, would I be right in saying that before the batteries vent and or explode they would get quite hot? I have taken to leaving the side of my Istick off so I can tell how hot they are getting, and trying not to go much above 35 watts.

Or would the cover help to protect me in the event of a catastrophe?
