Battle of the single coil RBAs!

Hey, my trusty Kayfun is on its last legs, and i'm unable to resurrect it. Sad times.

Before I run out and just buy another one, I figured I should ask the opinions of people blessed with trying a wider range of attys to myself.

Wish I could have made it to VF, and found this out first hand


I love my kayfuns and had a taifun etc...but I want to broaden my horizons

Have my fogger running nicely for heavier builds, and RDAs if I want to make a human contrail.

Just want something for more civalised, flavour chasing, with respectable vapour

Main contenders from my research are Squape R....Rose v2 and Heron.

All have loyal following, but there must be someone who has resigned 2 of the above to the draw in favour of 'the one'!!!

Piss easy build no leaks bags of flavour (for a tank)
Personally I'd go for a magma rda or Origen my all day devices

I've not tried a Rose or a Heron, but I'd rather vape one of these than either my Kayfun or my Squape.

Of course I would say that, as I sell them, but... there's a mammoth thread at ECF about them here which I have nothing to do with which is worth a read of at least a few pages.

They might be out of your budget, you might hate the look, I'm just saying they should be on the shortlist as they are excellent single coil RBAs.

I'm interested in this too. I'm on the verge of ordering a kayfun clone but something is stopping me. I'm looking at the Heron clone but not sure what the airflow will be like, can you get comfortable lung inhales from it? The only other thing stopping me is the fact I can't see how much juice I have left, but damn is it pretty!

With adjustable airflow you would assume it would let you get pretty airy, from what i've read, the revised version with the 'slot' design is ment to be a bit more open. Haven't seen this one in clone form yet though.

Watching build videos this thing seems great and so simple.

My reluctance to buy is for the exact same reason as you....

I'm trying to work out how simple it is to have a peep inside to see juice levels, anyone who has one could you let us know how you check, or do you just wait for the burnt cotton taste of death?!

See, I've been thinking not knowing how much is in might not be such an issue, as its so simple to refill I could do it on the fly. And as to not knowing when it's empty, after using drippers only for so long I can tell when it needs topping up before I get any burnt taste, so I'm really swaying towards this ATM

Both genuine and fake Heron have a tightish draw, IMHO not suitable for lung hits
Rose v2, I would say, a little tight for lung hits but possible depending on the user
Squape R wide open, yes, lung hits no problem
Erlkonigin, not as tight as the Rose v2 but not as airy as the Squape R

I was watching OccultScientist check how much juice he had left in the heron during the raffle at vapefest. Looked fairly simple, he just turned it upside-down and took the top cap off.

No lung hits on heron it's not that sort of tank all flavour
You do get plenty of warning re juice flavour tails off like it does with low battery on a mech
