Berserker Mini Issue

Things like salt, mustard, ketchup etc are condiments. In this analogy they’d be better compared to concentrate. If you or more salt in something it will taste saltier. But then if you vary the size of bit that you eat at a time, it’s not going to increase the intensity of the flavour. Think about cheese.

Consider this. If you take an optimal sized bite of a cake, you will taste the cake. But if you stuff five cakes in yer gub at the same time, you won’t get a stronger cake taste.

Of course you will increase the intensity of the flavour if you vary the size of the bit you eat! What are you talking about?

Grate some cheese. Put one strand in your mouth. A little taste of cheese. Now take a full mouth full. A stronger taste of cheese. Try it with extra mature, to emphasise the difference.

And there's the rub - "optimal" size. The more cake, the stronger the flavour.

Take 1 mint. Minty. Stick 10 mints in your mouth. A far more intense mint experience. There's no denying this, Zou, I don't know how you can continue to justify your position.

Five times the amount of flavour molecules, five times the amount of flavour. If this wasn't case, small variations in flavour percentage wouldn't make a difference to the mix.

The amount of flavour molecules in an MTL draw are like at least 5 times less than in a DTL draw.

Super cooled Malaysian juice in MTL, a little cooling. Same juice DTL, brain freeze.

1 orange tic tac. Nice and orangey. A handful of tic tacs. An explosion of over the top orangeyness!

Seriously, I think your homeopathic approach to juice mixing, plus the fact you vape at a tenth of the wattage of some other people is clouding your opinion.

Just stating, as you do, that there's no difference between the amount of flavour in a nibble or a mouthful is patently ludicrous. Try it with raw onion if you don't believe me.

I vape both MTL and DTL. I have tried the very same juice in both. There's more flavour in DTL and that's the truth of the matter. :)

But if you vape the same juice in both, you will get less flavour with MTL. What suits DTL doesn't suit MTL. You need a higher proportion of PG, which carries flavour better than VG, to get the best out of MTL?

And Zou needs to try his 'gobful' theory with Scotch Bonnets ........ :16:

@Crewella scotch bonnets can be considered a condiment for the purposes of this discussion.

@speedfreek67 I strongly disagree. Obviously eating a tiny bit of something will often result in less flavour. However, once the optimum amount is reached (ie a thin slice of cheese or a mouthful of cake), increasing the quantity of food placed inside the mouth will not result in intensification of flavour. How could it? You would need to concentrate the foodstuff in question to intensify the flavour, not just increase the amount.

I will say again that this is after the optimal level is reached.

That's not just to do with the amount though - there are only so many surfaces with taste receptors in them in any mouth, so increasing the amount in the middle will indeed make no difference as there are no receptors there. Vaping works differently though, it's vapour not solids.

i'm with zou, I've just made a pot of really nice aromatic tea, I can taste it better with a small, slow sip, rather than a big gulp.

i'm also with crewella in that I don't think you can compare vaping to eating.

I also think the berserker is shit.
