Hate the wrapper on the vtc5.

Anything else out there that is as good or better than the vtc5??

Obviously depends on how low you are going, but I am a big fan of the hybrid Panasonic MCR18650PF.
2900mAh, and is fine with every build I have tried (it's 20C rated). I don't do 0.3 Ohm's though, but it's great at 0.8, and has better battery life than most things out there, while still having a "safe" chemistry.

Also use the Purple efest 2500mAh (35A/14C rated) and they are good too.

I tend to use both of these far more than my VTC5's.

If the panasonic is 20c rated @ 2900mah it would be a 58amp battery

Rags what are you thinking of using if indeed it is true that VTC5's may become rather scarce.

I'm.thinking.someone should send.me.one to test at low ohms... ;)
Fucking space bar on this phone is far too close to the full.stop when touch typing. Mother fucker.
But yeah, 29 amps, hybrid, could be a direct contender.
Amps = C*amp hours iirc.
10*2.9=29... ;)

Considering they both have similar max continuous loads would their burst loads be similar too? I'm comfortable going low ohm builds on VTC5s due to the amount of info I've read about them but with the Panasonics they are unheard of for me.
