Morning all; have a few T3S's and they really working not well on my ego vv batteries. Getting a spikey slightly harsh hit each time, and the juice is 100% vg so shouldnt be happening. Do i need more powerful battery??? or a different set up of some kind??? Or are T3S's just not very good???? Thank you...

To me that indicates you have the voltage to high. Start at around 3.4V and move up till you find the sweet spot.
Your coil can affect the outcome aswell

The T3S is a cracking piece of kit for the money. I use them pretty much exclusively at the moment, although I do still use my Protank too (both Kanger)
I have experienced occasional burning on a regular battery, but usually only when its fully charged as they kick out about 4.1-4.2V at that stage. On a VV battery you should be fine, but I would recommend sticking to the guidelines set by Kanger (dependent on what ohms your coil is):

If you want to get slightly more control, but on a budget, then I'd recommend a Vamo (v3 onwards) as you can run them VV in increments of 0.1V, or VW in increments of 0.5W
I use my T3S 2.2ohm on a Vamo V3 (V2 doesn't allow you to remove the top collar, which is necessary when fitting BCCs) set at 6.0W. 6.5W or above will tend to burn the wick
