Hi Guys,

I'm currently vaping kanthol built coils on VW getting hue dense vapes with great flavour. I've had the odd dry hit and also scorched some wicks when vaping at too high wattage.

Constant temperature control seems really appealing and I've heard this can be tailored to each e juice.

I've also read that certain mods arnt suitable for TC. I'm using the smok x cube 2... does any one use this on TC is it suitable? what are your preferred builds if using the cube?

I've never used a Smok TC mod, but I will recommend Joyetech (e.g. VTC mini, Cuboid etc) on a budget or a mod with a DNA200 or DNA75 chip if you're willing to splash out a bit more. The Xcube 2 does have TC functionality, so it should work, certainly well enough to try TC. Make sure you have the latest firmware update.

The best TC mods are probably going to be those with Evolv DNA chips, but they cost more. I recently got the SMY SDNA75 and it's very, very good. Noticeably better than the Joyetech VTC mini (which is still an excellent TC mod).

If it the best tc mod you want then anything with a DNA 75 or 200, the Joyetech VTC mini or Cuboid give good results at the cheaper end of the market, but TC isn't just about the mod, the atty is almost as important, you won't get good results with something that has a huge chamber and massive amounts of airflow.

Objection, your honour!

While I have lots of fun with massive airflow and chambers big enough for complex builds, I have to say that my favourite vape comes from an original Goblin, which has so far ruled the roost where flavour combined with ample vapour are concerned. But hey, I'm a fusty ol' die hard vaper, so what do I know? :p

Yeah whatever works for you. I'm just saying I"ve had great TC vapes from the velocity and tsunami RDAs which are pretty airy and my regular vape is the aromamiser rdta which is no slouch in the air flow department.

I tried TC using the iPVD2, the Tesla Nano 100w and the RX200 ... have been amazed at the difference now that I'm using the Yihi SX Minis, ML and Q classes. Goddamned geeky though ... should come with little skull caps and propellers ...

Been looking at this Think Vape 75 watt TC mod on FastTech. It says in the description that it is a DNA 75 device, but not in the title, curiously. There is not a single video of it on You Tube. Anyone heard anything about it? Do you think it is indeed a DNA 75? Think Vape have a pretty good reputation, don't they :6:

I am looking at getting kooper mini from dna vapes was just wondering what peoples views are on this mod it will be my first tc mod has i have been using a kbox vw

@rob71 Pretty much any device is better than a Kbox. What you want to check for is adjustable ramp up time, I have a few TC devices that start at 0W which is as useful as a chocolate teapot. It may sound odd to use say a 100W ramp up on a stainless steel coil which is rated for 60w, but it won't actually hit 100w - it will blast the coil and get it up to the temp you have set and then let that part take over. Gives a much smoother vape than VW mode.
