Best mod for TC

@rob71 Pretty much any device is better than a Kbox. What you want to check for is adjustable ramp up time, I have a few TC devices that start at 0W which is as useful as a chocolate teapot. It may sound odd to use say a 100W ramp up on a stainless steel coil which is rated for 60w, but it won't actually hit 100w - it will blast the coil and get it up to the temp you have set and then let that part take over. Gives a much smoother vape than VW mode.
ok will have a good look my kbox gave up today trying to use my vemo with tugboat rda until i can get new mod hoping for end of the week. this is the one i am looking at http://www.dnavapes.com/collections/variable-voltage-mods/products/black-koopor-mini-60w-tc

eesh. That has the option to go normal soft and hard on the ramp up. Not good I'm afraid. Joyetech have adjustable ramp up for TC, you don't have to get a big beast, the cuboid mini is very good if you want a small mod (remember to upgrade).

just had a look at the cuboid mini might be a bit out of my price range at the moment

Budget;

Evic mini.
IPV d3...or is it 4 now?

Non budget DNA75/133/200 all the way

The above and many DNA40s is all I own regulated now.

@rob71 on a budget, your best option is probably the VTC mini. It's a very good compact TC mod. Honestly if you want to get the best out of TC, it's worth investing a bit more cash (or time by ordering from China) for something with a quality chip - it can make a huge difference, much more difference than it does for vaping in wattage mode.

hoping to get something asap thank you all for your advice

Ask again before you buy the mod as it's not all just the quality of the chip.....TC is just an algorithm from a baseline...the ohms of your coil...that's always 100% correct, that's what algorithms are......then it's the power delivery, how quick and consistent it can apply/cut it at the coil.The DNA chip does this very well but put this in bad mod with say a poor 510 or poor earth connection it will hinder all. i.e. you might as well have an Evic mini. Personally IMO I would be looking at lost vape mods, they have solid 510s and are wired very well.
