Hi guys

I started vaping recently (like so many other people) as an aid to stop smoking. It's working so far! I've been vaping and cigarette free for about four weeks.

I'm using an Endura T18ii. It's my first device so nothing to compare it with but I'm struggling to taste anything. Custard, tobacoo, apple pie etc....they all taste the same.

I've tried different makes of liquid, different nicotine strengths, e-salts, new coils but basically, every flavour tastes, well, of nothing really.

Is it the device? Or am I doing something wrong?

And if anyone can recommend a device that outperforms mine, I'd be grateful for their suggestions!

Welcome to potv @Stevetheadi and congratulations on being ciggy free for 4 weeks.
I am not up on good starter kits but someone will no doubt be along shortly to help you out.
Keep up the good work mate, it gets easier with each day :goodluck:

What are the VG/PG ratios of the liquids? The Endura is MTL and better suited to liquids in the 50/50 or 60/40 range.

Thanks! To be honest, it hasn't been too hard to stay off the ciggies...so far!

Hi Stevetheadi I had a Innokin Endura T22 (just given it away today) and that uses the same coil as yout T18II I found the lower the nic the better the taste so well done keeping off the Cigs and when your comfortable with it try a lower nic juice.

Well done on the giving up.
There is a stage you'll go through once you give up where your taste buds will regenerate.
Surprising what effect the ciggs have on a person.
Have you noticed your sense of smell returning with vengeance?

When you started we’re all the flavours you mention strong and flavourful?

If so you could be experiencing vapers tongue. It’s a kind of flavour fatigue where everything tastes muted. A menthol liquid for a few days might help.

Has this started since you changed to a new coil? It could be a duff coil that’s affecting things, although usually this will make things taste burned.

Thanks for the replies.

Could be the coils. I'll try a new one.

Cheers, I'll defintely stick to low nicotine. I didn't smke many cigarettes anyway. Why did you give your Endura away? Have you found something better?
