Best mouth to lung device for flavour?

When you started we’re all the flavours you mention strong and flavourful?

If so you could be experiencing vapers tongue. It’s a kind of flavour fatigue where everything tastes muted. A menthol liquid for a few days might help.

Has this started since you changed to a new coil? It could be a duff coil that’s affecting things, although usually this will make things taste burned.
I'll give menthol a go, cheers!

I don't recall the liquids ever having much flavour so doubt it's 'vapers tongue'. Maybe my sense of taste has disappeared!

Hi Stevetheadi I had a Innokin Endura T22 (just given it away today) and that uses the same coil as yout T18II I found the lower the nic the better the taste so well done keeping off the Cigs and when your comfortable with it try a lower nic juice.
I 'll stick to 3mg liquids, thanks! Why did you give yourEndura away BTW? Found something better?

What is important with the nic, especially when quitting, is to ensure you have enough to keep you off the cigarettes. So don’t drop your nic with the hope of getting more flavour. If you are buying nic filled juice then it shouldn’t be a factor in not tasting juices. It can and does affect the throat hit you receive.

If you’ve not had much flavour at all from the start then it could be crappy coils, bad juices or the whole thing just isn’t for you.

Try new coils. Make sure you prime them properly before you vape.

I think it might be the coils. I've read reviews saying that as many as 5 out of ten are duff. I'll try a new supplier. Also, I'll buy a spare tank. I'm sure that refilling with different flavours into the same tank can't be helping.

I’d try a few coils before buying another tank and see how you get on. If you like it then maybe get another but no point if it’s not going to work for you. Just don’t drop your nic at this stage.

Thanks. I'll do as you suggest. The main thing is the Endura is keeping me off the cigs. It would just be nice, that's all, to taste some of the flavours that I see other people raving about!

And there is no reason at all why you can’t have both! Give it a little more time and then if all else fails I’m sure we can recommend decent alternatives.

That is all that really matters.
After all, fags taste shit but we smoked them for years or decades.

I suspect the lack of taste has little to do with your kit, but now you are an ex smoker, you could do with a backup setup and a backup for the backup. Then you could have three flavours on the go. Switching flavours regularily should help.

Given you are not totally satisfied with the T18 it might well be worth trying another device as your backup.
I am not the right person to give that advice but if you posted some thoughts on what you think of the T18 that might generate some sugestions.
Is it the right size? Are you happy with the draw/airflow or could it be looser or tighter. Do you like the simplicity or would you like more control over power settings (probably a larger device.) ?

You are doing well. Four weeks without fags is all that matters. It only gets easier the longer you go. Keep it up. Look into another setup. Once you have two different devices to compare, you can develop ideas about what you prefer before buying your third. By then you will be finding out if some aspects of these devices help you with flavour.

Nobody has suggested stock coil alternatives to the T18.
Even if they do not improve flavour Steve needs a backup so some suggestions might be useful.

Congratulations @Stevetheadi I hope (and expect - the first few days are the hardest IMO) you manage to stay off the smokes.

I used the Endura a lot when I first started vaping. I found the flavour ok. And I didn't get *that* many duff coils. Perhaps 1 in 10? (QC might have gone downhill since then I suppose).

I would recommend trying any of the manabush / spiritwalker / firewater / indigine liquids, they are all fkin lovely and they all have very decent flavour output.

FWIW, I stepped up to the nautilus after the Endura. I didn't notice a massive increase in flavour TBH, but the airflow options were better and this made a big difference to my vaping experience. IMHO the Vapefly Nicolas tank is one of the best stock coil MTL tanks out there in terms of flavour and airflow. They're not as readily available as the nautilus however, so if you need to buy your coils from brick and mortar shops the nautilus is a better option.

For the most flavour, rebuildables are the way to go. But you might not want to get that geeky about vaping... yet...
