Hi, I've been vaping for a while now about 6 months I started on the nautilus 3 went through all coil options but there not very smooth feel like I'm having to drag to hard. So I switched to the zlide much better vape nice and cool which I like but the coils seem to be dead all the time. I love the cool vape and flavour from the 1.6. 0.48 only seem to last me 2-3 days that's if I'm lucky open a fresh one today and it's dead with less flavour go figure as there made for flavour. I use 20mg nic salt 50/50 was wondering if you could recommend anything similar that the coils would last longer even 5-7 days would do me. I'm not a heavy vapour but I've been smoking 15+ a day for 20+ yrs.

Hi there @Leigh Allbutt welcome, I use two Zlide tanks one on a @Innokin adept and the other on a kroma z and use 1.6 coils and they last me a fortnight normally. Are you using your device at maximum wattage as that will affect the life of the coil. Unless you’ve been unlucky and got a bad batch of coils.

It's all down to the cleanliness of the liquids, been vaping the same Nautilus coils since Christmas time.

Hi @Leigh Allbutt and welcome to the planet.

Ive moved your post as you posted on a 8 month old thread. hopefully here you should get more replies.

Sadly a box of coils can have the odd one or two duff coils but not that often.
Where are you buying your coils from? hopefully not ebay or amazon as there are a lot of fakes and clones out there. there are some decent suppliers on those platforms but its finding them.
As your using 50/50 salts then they sure should last longer than a couple of days. Are you priming your coils first and starting at a lower wattage than you normally vape at. we usually advise this with sub ohm coils at much higher wattage but its worth a go to see if it will help your mouth to lung coils last longer.
drip a few drops of juice on the cotton around the coil. fill tank then start low. if you vape at 14watts then start at 5-8watts for the first few puffs then turn up a watt each puff.

tagging @DeeDee aka (Pod Queen) as she loves her salts and might be able to advise better than me.

this is worth bookmarking for future reference. post 5 has our recommended hardware and coil suppliers

I dont vape salts but use 50/50 freebase liquid. With the zlide i find the .8 coil the best.As for nautilus coils i use the .7 non mesh one, both usually last a good time with great flavour.

Hi @Leigh Allbutt

If you could come back to us on some of the questions that would help.

To summarise

What wattage are you using the coils at?
Are you priming them first fully
Are the coils all from the same box?
Where did u purchase them from?
What Airflow setting is the device on?
What nic salt brands are you using (some can be of poor quality) i can help u there.

If you like a cool vape then 1.2 and above is best but will feel tighter to pull depending on AF for good flavour burst and an open vape 1.0 and below is good, the 1.00 mesh aspire nauti coil is fantastic with nic salts.

If you'd just asked this question without saying you'd tried them I imagine many folks would have said for stock coils the Nautilus and Innokin Z coils are both very good options.

The @Innokin Z-Coils are excellent and should be lasting longer than that. Maybe you have got a bad batch or are using a particularly gunky juice as has been mentioned - or perhaps you're letting it get too low before refilling and they're overheating?

@Vaporesso coils are ones to consider as an alternative too. They're usually pretty good and I've found them to have decent longevity.

@TP 72 I've used it on the low end, middle end recommend never the top end with the same result. So frustrating cause I love the cool smooth vape the zlide gives but the 0.48 are lasting a day maybe 2 and the 1.6 last me 5-7 days if I'm lucky I've got a pack of each and have tried 3 of each all with the same result might be bad packs but I don't know "/ Just thought I'd ask here as I've seen so many helpful comments and every vape shop by me just don't have a clue
