Best MTL vape kit??

@TP 72 I've used it on the low end, middle end recommend never the top end with the same result. So frustrating cause I love the cool smooth vape the zlide gives but the 0.48 are lasting a day maybe 2 and the 1.6 last me 5-7 days if I'm lucky I've got a pack of each and have tried 3 of each all with the same result might be bad packs but I don't know "/ Just thought I'd ask here as I've seen so many helpful comments and every vape shop by me just don't have a clue
sorry for the confusion @Leigh Allbutt
finally managed to move your post from the old thread to here.

Hi @Leigh Allbutt, you’ve not said anything about priming coils, are you priming them before you use them? Then filling the tank and leaving it to stand for at least ten minutes or so to let the juice soak in to the coil. I don’t use nic salts can’t get on with them and don’t know much about them. Just a thought, are you letting the coil settle after each puff or are you chain vaping one puff after another and not letting the coil cool between puffs that could shorten the life of a coil.

Some types of e-liquids result in reduced coil life such as NETs plus of course it depends on much you vape. I can't speak as to Z coils as I've not used them though 1-2 days for the 0.48 does sound short whereas 5-7 for the 1.6 doesn't, as an example I vape NETs and I get 3-4 days out of a Nautilus 1.6 or 1.8 coil before the flavour starts to go.

If you haven't you can check the authenticity of Innokin coils online.

MTL coils I like:
Freemax 1.5 ohm FM CoilTech 4.0 mesh coil, vaped in Freemax Fireluke 22 tank;
Innokin 1.6 ohm Z-coil, vaped in Zenith 2 tank;
Vaporesso 1.2 ohm GTX standard coil and 0.6 ohm GTX mesh coil, vaped in Vaporesso GTX 18 tank.

Out of the three brands, I find the Vaporesso GTX coils most consistent in quality and longevity, but the 2-3ml small capacity of the GTX 18 tank is a drawback. The coils last me definitely more than a week with very good flavour.

Many MTL vapers at POTV also enjoy the Nautilus 1 ohm mesh coil with the Nautilus 3 tank, I haven't tried it yet.
I vape exclusively MTL, which is expected to have a tighter drawn and produce a cooler vape than DTL kits. Keeping a low power helps to make coils last longer.

I prefer the .8 coil in the zlide,the .7 nautilus coil in the GT tank and the 1.5 freemax coil in my fireluke 22 tank.Dont think you can beat those 3 mtl tanks for flavour.I also use the nautilus 1.0 mesh coil in a nano tank,not quite as much flavour as the other 3 tanks imo.

I read not very good reviews on POTV some time ago about the Nautilus GT tank, things like leaks and gurgles. How do you find it in everyday use? I like the look of it!

I like the GT,although it does leak very slightly at the bottom,but its very slight and doesn't bother me .Ive heard that the mini GT is better.

Hi @Leigh Allbutt and welcome to the planet.

Ive moved your post as you posted on a 8 month old thread. hopefully here you should get more replies.

Sadly a box of coils can have the odd one or two duff coils but not that often.
Where are you buying your coils from? hopefully not ebay or amazon as there are a lot of fakes and clones out there. there are some decent suppliers on those platforms but its finding them.
As your using 50/50 salts then they sure should last longer than a couple of days. Are you priming your coils first and starting at a lower wattage than you normally vape at. we usually advise this with sub ohm coils at much higher wattage but its worth a go to see if it will help your mouth to lung coils last longer.
drip a few drops of juice on the cotton around the coil. fill tank then start low. if you vape at 14watts then start at 5-8watts for the first few puffs then turn up a watt each puff.

tagging @DeeDee aka (Pod Queen) as she loves her salts and might be able to advise better than me.

edit

this is worth bookmarking for future reference. post 5 has our recommended hardware and coil suppliers
POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers

I always prime my coils with drops around the holes and let the tank sit for at least 15 mins before vaping. Start off low and gradually increase and only ever vape on the low to mid end of the recommended. I brought them from ecigarettedirect.

Always prime my coil by adding e-liquid to the cotton holes and letting it stand for 15ms. I wait at least 30 seconds approx before hitting it again.

so your doing everything correctly.
next thing to check is what juice flavour and make you are using.
dairy, creams, cheesecakes can clog coils up quicker than say fruits but it just depends on the makes of juice. something like IVG uses masses of sweetner and are coil killers. saying that this is normal shortfills with standard freebase nicotine so normally 70vg. as your using salts with 50/50 then these really shouldnt be that bad on coils.

if you can give everyone an idea of your flavour profiles you like maybe someon can come up with better makes that will be kinder to your coils.
