Best way to clean attys & soak coils?

Probably bit of a noob question here (been vaping 2.5 years!!) I usually clean my tanks under a hot water tap, wipe down with kitchen roll and they're good to go. Just found some attys/tanks that I haven't used for a while and want to give them a good clean. Was thinking of vodka or gin as I've done in the past but is there a better solution to use?

Same with the coils, must have 60 old coils here from various tanks so wanted to give these a good soak in something and reuse them (money's a bit tight at the moment!!) will soaking these in vodka for a day and let them dry out naturally do the job or best to use some sort of solution?

Ta chuck :)

RE: tanks, just do whatever you need to do to get them clean, soapy water, soft tooth brush ... juice isn't usually that bad to clean, after that I just chuck mine in a bowl of water with a Milton sterilising tablet after cleaning to make sure no germs are breeding in the drip tip/ chimney.

coils .... someone else can help there, I bung mine away usually as I think it's pretty hard to 'revive' the cotton once it's gone beyond.

Beware of exposing to milton too long, it will pit some stainless. I use what I use on my brewing kit - Sodium Percarbonate - Vanish to you and me - you can get unperfumed stuff from Wilco or a pound shop - usually has 'Oxy' in the name. A desert spoon in an ice cream tub, with water as hot as you can get from the hot tap...

Tanks - I use hot water then a soak in Milton (quarter of a tablet) for half an hour, rinse and dry.
Coils - again, hot water and Milton, dry naturally (couple of days), then vodka overnight and dry naturally again. Some you can revive, some you can't - I guess it depends how long they've been in use.

A lot of apes end up buying an ultrasonic. Easy cleaning for around 22 quid. :)
Just DON'T put anything with a wick in the cleaner. The cavitation shreds the wick. Coils that can be rewicked are fine.

I use to soak Nautilus and Triton coils in cheap vodka for a week, rinse with very hot water , then let dry naturally and most, but not all, would give another few days normally although never worked as well.

And as said be careful with Milton, it destroyed the spring in the 510 pin in a Nautilus of mine!

As previously mentioned tanks are pretty straightforward. Coils on the other hand may give you a little bit of extra vaping but will never be the same as a new coil or one that's been re wicked/recoiled.

+1 for ultrasonic it will even clean the inner intricacies of Clapton coils

I've had a lot of atomisers turn up dirty that had supposedly been through an ultrasonic. I think a lot of people think an ultrasonic is a substitute for dismantling - and once you've done that a teaspoon of oxywiz is equally as good...
