Recently a news from Hong Kong media said vapor from ecig is a million times harmful than outdoor air in HK, this may greatly mislead the people who don't know ecig well, but good news is that Dr Farsalinos has wrote an article in responding to the news, here is the post by Dr Farsalinos:

for us it's laughable, but for the people don't know vaping, it's scary

articles are released quick to prove them wrong but then that doesn't get picked up by the press as all they want to do is scaremongering as it makes them more money.

Let me add some interesting data, from the Royal College of Physicians: 40,000 deaths per year in the UK are attributable to outdoor air pollution. Reference:https://www.rcplondon.ac.uk/projects/outputs/every-breath-we-take-lifelong-impact-air-pollution

Number of deaths per year so far attributed to ecig vapour: zero.

Dr Farsalinos is right to question and ridicule this media drivel.

The media has a lot to answer to but sadly, those that don't know or understand vaping, just get sucked into what the media writes and takes it as gospel! That's half the reason I don't ever read newspapers or buy them as there just full of shite!!

gotta agree there des last time a newspsaper was of any use to me was when your fish and chips came wrapped in old newspaper...ahhhhhh the good old days eh

They were the good ol days as they say when as you rightly say, your fish and chips were wrapped in proper newspaper and it gave you summit to read when eating them as the newspapers back then didn't have the crap that's written in them these days!!!

the original scary article is from HK's south china morning post, an HK newspaper, for printed papers it can be useful wrapping things, but for their online posts, for now sadly we can do nothing but spread articles answered to them
