Blu intense vape query

hi all, just joined. been vaping for about a year after dropping the fags. i went straight on to the blu intense vapes - menthol, as they were satisfying enough and lasted well. however, the 3 devices i had failed, and the pods became unavailable as they replaced it with the V2 which i don't find anywhere near as good. since then, i have been using crystal disposables and although these are great, they don't last long and are costing me nearly as much as real fags! i'm looking for something that is as satisfying as those. i know, it's a bit like asking what lager is nicest to drink - ask 2 dozen people and you get 2 dozen different answers! i'm not averse to getting a device that needs liquid etc, but don't know where to start and what brand of liquid to go for. anyone have any words of advice if you've half an idea what i'm looking for? i like something with a bit of strength, that doesn't make you cough, with the slight icy feel on the back of the throat.

Hi @markw2023 and welcome

Well done on quiting the smokes.

I have found the innokin sceptre 2 to be one of the best and simplest devices to use (but like you say, ask 10 people, get 10 different answers - the Xros is a similar device that has got a lot of love on this forum). The sceptre 2 is pretty cheap (18 notes ATM), with a decent sized battery (about 5x the capacity of the blus I think), and the coils taste fantastic and last for ages. The coils are also cheap (7 notes for 5).

It's easy to switch to a new coil - when you notice that the taste starts to drop, you simply remove the pod from the device and pull out the coil, replacing it with a new one. You will probably want the 0.65 ohm coils if you've been using blu.

The good news is that you will find this kind of setup to be vastly superior and considerably cheaper than buying blu refills or disposables (disposables are horrific for the environment too, but that's a rant for another day).

Liquid - in general it's a case of trial and error. Vape Club and Electronic Tobaconist are 2 established online retailers. You should be able to filter their stuff by flavour type to compare options you might like. Quite a few vape shops (bricks and mortar) will let you sample liquids before you buy them.

We have a few excellent juice makers on this forum who will be happy to provide you with info and advice. Manabush, Legio X, Prime Vapes... all very good brands, and lovely people to deal with.

Manabush do some great tobacco flavours, but I'm not sure they do any menthol ones. One methol juice you could try is Snow Queen (https://hwblbwbl.co.uk/product/snow-queen-10ml/). I don't do methol myself so I can't comment, but I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Hi @markw2023 and welcome to the planet.

I stsrted with the skycig (now Blu) cig a likes then moved onto the Blu Pro over 8 years ago which got me off the cigs.
the cartos were a rip off though and designed to leak after a few months so you had to buy another. they then decided to change the screw fit to stop you using other makes on the blu battery.
the fuse kit was better flavour and with a replaceable coil so if your lokking for the same sort of pen type then have a look at this all on the top row www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=vapouriz+fuse&i=drugstore&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
longest a single coil lasted was 3 months but this all depends on which juice you use. 50/50 was what i used back then.

Xros 3 nano or oxva xlim devices with a menthol juice would be good. Don't vape straight menthol juices so other's may have good suggestions for that.
