Boge 510LR on a cheap ego clone thing-a-muh-bob (non VV) First time using these things and I'm lovin' em. However, my first one in the pack has only lasted 1 day and now it's like sucking on a pillow case (not that I've ever tried this or ever desired to indulge in the old-age tradition of pillow biting...). I first filled it using the condom method and then dripped on subsequent refills. I'm assuming I've flooded the thing? Is it beyond redemption, can it be resurrected? Cheers.

OK - try this - unscrew the carto and get a piece of kitchen roll/loo paper. Place it over the screw end of the carto and gently blow through the other end (the end you usually inhale on) to clear any excess of juice. Try it out and see - if it's worked add a few more drops of fluid. The other thing - is your battery running a bit low? Taste and vapour are also affected by lower voltages - my juice tastes like cack just before my battery dies.
Give it a go and see what happens.

Make sure the battery well connection is clean too. if you get any juice in there it can impede airflow

Would agree with both KulrMeStoopid and Ethelking comments you need when filling it to blow through have tissue at the threaded end to capture any excess juice and always check top of the battery and clean regularly
Cheers guys. Well my mod is so crappy that I usually charge it after an hour or so lol - so it's always fully charged up (going to get myself a spinner/twist or something). I've now blown it to kingdom come but to no avail (although a fair amount of juice left the hole...) I've cleaned up the battery connection as well, but it's still a dud. I think it's my fault to be honest, 'cause like the noob I am, I've probably been over filling it due to getting panicky about not letting the thing dry out.

defu - don't panic about anything matey! You'll be dripping juice into the thing without thinking in a day or so! I use SR Boge carto's and I have (fortunately) found duds to be a rare thing. However, if I use high VG liquids, they tend to reduce in performance after a couple of days (I find anything 50% VG does this for me) and I vape moderately to heavily. When this happens, I chuck it and start a new one. On average, a carto lasts me three to four days max. The only tip I can give is to try a different carto and see if harmony is restored.
Cartos are the disposable bit of the vaping thing, unfortunately but they should last more than a day though - so you may have just got unlucky and got one which is prematurely tired! I spent ages when I first started vaping boiling them, vodka soaking them and even centrifuging them! They are disposable, and to be honest, if you try and revive them, it rarely works.
Maybe someone else can give you some different advice - hang on to the old one, just in case they do, and you can try whatever they suggest.

Not necessarily defu no such thing as a crappy mod just a shorter battery or limited voltage achieved, it may just be the carto is faulty and its nothing your doing wrong, try filling up the 2nd carto using the condom method and do it slowly, 2 or 3 times I usually find for full soaking, blow through gently and fire up and see how you get on, I kid you not when I tell you I have done so many stupid things but that's all part of the learning curve that's why the POTV is so great you can ask those questions and note there's no such thing as a stupid question.

My liquid is 50 pg/vg - it's a heavy tobacco and tastes like the bottom of a wet ashtray - totally delicious. But I've just ordered some more juice and it's pretty much PG - because I like to be hit hard lol - and like you say they might be kinder to these cartomisers. I've seen those vids about restoring cartos and tbh it really does seem like a precious waste of existence. Sod it, they're cheap enough... I'm probably going to get myself one of those IGO Rebuildable Atomiser or perhaps a phoenix soon anyway
I've followed PBusardo's vid on youtube to the letter on how to fill up the 510s. It's a great vid, but I've just done what you've told me, and boy, this new carto is crackling away like a MF. Nice one. This mod I've got is okay, but I just feel that I need to crank things up a little. Anyway I'm loving this forum - I just wish I was super rich so I could play with all those toys out there!!!
