What's new

Broken smok battery

Yeah that's what I mean the batteries are ok in bottom but the top has come loose where the tank goes
Your elastic band is forcing the contacts together like the locking door would but if it slackens off and your contacts are not meeting properly it could cause some arching and get hot or be dangerous in my opinion so I wouldn't use it [emoji5]

That's what I'm worried about I don't need the elastic band for it to work I was worried about water (rain) getting in the mod maybe I should stop using it. So annoying.

At least you get to buy a new toy [emoji5] (hopefully not smok)

Then take it back if its not been kicked around and exchange it to something else [emoji5]

It may have been dropped. Cheers for all the advice guys. I was hoping you all would say no use it it will be fine.... but I think I new what everyone would say :(

The top screws are threaded into a brittle plastic bar. These break very easily. I wouldn't use it.

Just to balance the thread out a little.
The problem of top screws shearing (or the plastic inside breaking), when a mod hits the floor at just the right angle, isn't just a Smok thing. I have seen an Ijoy Captain PD270 with exactly the same damage after the owner dropped it. The owner used sticky tape to hold it together while awaiting their new mod.

Personally a damaged mod for me is bin material. As you never know what other damage might be lurking. But if you ain't got a spare, then needs must with the elastic band (sticky tape) until you get a replacement.

As above, I wouldn't keep using it indefinitely. But if it was all I had then I would use it until a replacement arrived. Just keep the band in place, keep an eye on it whilst in use and remove the batteries whenever it's not being used.

Cheers for advice everyone I've gone back to my old mod for now, don't want to risk it. Least I have a new tank
