Budget multitool?

I had one of those Ferm multitool Dremel lookalikes in my watchlist but I ended up getting a battery one from Lidl for £20.
Only used it a couple of times so far but it seems fine and comes with the usual Lidl 3yrs warranty.
I did buy mine about a month ago so there may not be any more left now :(

Im tempted to order that second one myself tbh .. looks ace

Most cheap multitools are piss poor tbh just buy a dremel. Mine cost about £70 but worth every penny.

There's some in aldi at the moment. Don't know what they're like tho.

I bought a Draper I think? Sometime ago, it was in wilkos at £25

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Planet of the Vapes mobile app

I stupidly bought this and its gutless.

I'm on a tight budget and want something with more power. What sort of wattage do you think I need for a decent multitool?
I saw this and it looks good.

Any thought on a £20 multitool?

i can confirm that the second one is fantastic i use my one for everything and i paid £5 more than that but i have had my one close to a year now, in fairness i only use it at my desk for work on mods and attys, the only down side if it is one is that i would have liked the slowest speed setting to have been a tad slower

i also got this for it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261374261417?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 very good for the very small drills

I bought a cheap Dremel clone from Aldi(I think, might have been Lidl)for £20 & it's pathetic. It has a maahooosive 22 watt motor that struggles to stir VG heavy mixes(I use it as a "milk frother" to froth my juices)and using it to drill stainless steel, faster to rub a hole with my fucking fingertip.According to the speed control on mine,it says it'll do up to 24,000 RPM which is meaningless as the instant the tool fitted contacts the surface being worked on it dam near stops.

I have had a look at various Dremel type drills on eBay,and decided that my next Dremel will HAVE to state the power output of the motor on the listing, not the power consumption, the output & that the output will need be over at least 100 watts. That 2nd link says it consumes 160 watts & will spin at up to 35k (I think) but I'd not buy it unless I'd seen a reviewer say "It is a powerful device,so the 160 watts it consumes appears to be entirely converted into output" or "will cut metal with ease" or something that offers hope to me that it isn't just another brand of my POS.

i have the second one and have used it to drill airholes in drippers to expand airways and to polish all good will say it is more than powerful enough but you do need the right drill bits after all it is ss your drilling
