Thanks for all the advice. They seem to be charging OK without getting warm and tried it in the vamo and it worked fine. I've got a multimeter coming so I'll test the voltage. Can you check ampage with a multimeter? What should it be for a mech mod. Fingers crossed.

If you know what voltage you're using and the ohmage of your coil, you can work out how many amps you're pulling from the battery.

Once you know what sort of amp range you'll need it'll be easier to work out if the batteries will be able to stand up well... once you can work out the battery's rating of course.

The thing I don't like about recycled batteries is that lithium cells have a 3 year shelf life from the date of manufacture.

Saying that, I've got some viagra that's about 3 years past it's use by date that works fine, but it's not my face I risk blowing off with that is it hehe

Most batteries can be assumed to have a 1c rating if you can't find the details. So 2000mAh would be 2000mA - 2A

I just put a multimeter on these batteries and it said they were 4.12V. They do work in my Vamo but do you think they are safe? Any ideas?

I did this all 6 weee light green samsung batteries all charged fine and all registered at 4.2v I use them in a vamo, and kts telescopic no probs.
