Don't see a problem with copper but even brass the inside could be plated.

Yea but I dont think that would too much of a problem, it would have a coating fo eliquid most of the time so wouldn't likely oxidise much and even if it did I cant see a real problem with copper.

Copper oxidizes very slowly and copper is not harmful unless in very large quantities so I don't understand the concern. Most brass has lead in it so I understand the concern there but copper is an essential nutrient which most people are deficient in.
