Calling all mixers

waits with eager breath...

Unfortunately the site I'm thinking of was found through an old forum thread on a different site......

My phone does not make browsing site history easy, especially with so many vape related sites listed i've browsed through :(.....

.....on reflection it may have been the site bladesman linked, and I was using it 'incorrectly'. Just typed in a flavour I had, and as there are so many recipes, something came up!

Would definitely use that one for now if I was you, seems to have the biggest library of recipes around currently.

If I do discover it was a different site....I promise I will link it :D

wasn't this was it:

Clone Recipes | Homemade E-juice Recipes

Suggestion...

Ability to enter the concentrates you have - and for it to suggest recipes you can create with them.

Guess there must be a standard format for concentrates for this to work and give the most results.
(ignoring the brand - eg vanilla custard as opposed to Capella Vanilla Custard)

Fantastic suggestion, really like the idea of this.

Had a chat with the developer, seems to think its possible however with a lot of back work / additional database.

We want people to see recipes for flavourings even if we don't stock them, the idea is for a database which everyone can use as a tool. Of course if we do sell the flavours in certain recipes there will be an option to purchase :)
Duffloop If we are able to implement this, will fire you over some mixing supplies as a thank you!

ooh thanking you! (I'm short of a liquorice concentrate ;-) lol

What I'd like to see in a concentrates database is an ACCURATE description of a flavour and its recommended % to add to a base.
I'm really tired of irrelevant sales pitch descriptions ... I want to know for example whether a chocolate is drinking cocoa, milk, white or dark not that it's the greatest chocolate taste sensation ever created.
An independent, accurate, peer reviewed database would be worth it's weight in gold to mixers.

I'd also value greatly the ability to add a short list of favourite flavours and get a list of recipes back using those flavours.

Rescue Me! - a certain mix has gone wrong, but I don't like peppermint or menthol, what can be done to rescue a potential disaster from the plughole?

The best of ... a poll on each flavour so mixers can see the best strawberry, the best espresso, the best vanilla etc

Finally, a mixers' guide to additives ... the do's and don'ts for EM, sweeteners, bitter wizard, citric acid ... the stuff the food and brewing industries know but vapers don't.
