Can I mix nic salts with e liquid?

Any 50vg/50pg liquid will be fine as would a 40vg/60pg liquid. Any brand, any strength as long as the ratio is right will go in the Blu. You'll be able to find 18mg in freebase and 20mg if you decide to go for salts.

Yes those ratios will be fine for your 88vape pen but to be on the safe side 88vape advise to stick to 50/50 so I'd go with that.

That’s so helpful thank you! With the nic salts - does she just put a certain amount in with her regular liquid? I’ve been reading on the forum here that too much will make her dizzy or sick lol so want to avoid that if possible!

She’s tried 16mg I think. She just wants something that tastes like a cigarette rather than cloying and sweet

She should be able to find a flavour that is not too sweet easily enough. Finding a flavour that actually tastes like a cigarette is not easy and probably impossible. There are plenty of baccy flavours to try and she will find some more reminiscent of tobacco than others.
There is no burning or smoke with vaping so she is not going to get that smoke sensation but if she is getting the nicotine that she needs she will get used to the lack of that burning leaf taste and learn to prefer the vape over the smoke.

Many have gone down the road of searching for something just like a cigarette but we all get over it and find flavours we prefer to smoking, sooner or later. She just has to keep trying flavours till she finds ones that work for her.

You buy the salts as a liquid in whatever flavour you like. You don't add to existing liquid, it would replace the normal liquid and she would vape that, does that make sense? Ha ha it hits faster than normal so you may want to take it a bit easier than freebase.

Ok - I’m with you. If she finds that the nic salts liquid on its own is too much - is she able to mix it with the other liquid to dilute it a bit or is that just stupid lol?

There's no reason why you can't mix the two together. Some have tried it and it's been ok some have said it did not taste nice at all. It's not something I've tried personally. I have plenty of devices though so I have one I use for salts and others for freebase. Read the thread back as this is exactly what it's about!

I stopped smoking using the 88vape deluxe pen. Mostly using the 88vape liquids wich are a 70% pg mix the 50/50 should be fine aswell.
Apart for nicotine and flavourings, vegetable glycerine (VG) and propolyne glycol (PG) make up the bulk of eliquid. VG is thicker than PG so the higher the VG the thicker the eliquid will be and wick slower the higher VG liquids 70/30 VG/PG are more suited to direct to lung (DTL) devices , and 50/50 or higher PG content is good for mouth to lung (MTL) devices such as the 88vape and blu pens.

With MTL vaping you get less vapour and usually use a higher nicotine content liquid usually 12-18mg wich is good most stopping smoking as you draw the vapour into your moth first then inhale like smoking a cigarette.
DTL gives a lot more vapour so a lower nicotine content liquid is used usually no higher than 6mg

I know 88Vape do nicotine shots? How are those used? I know they have bigger bottles which I’m assuming are for use in bigger tanks but can a nicotine shot be used in the pens too?

You could vape a nicotine shot if you really wanted but it wouldn't taste of anything and the ones they sell would probably be the wrong VG/Pg ratio eg 100% VG. The nic shots they sell are normally used for adding to the bigger bottles (shortfills) as those come at 0mg nicotine. The shortfills are primarily used for direct to lung vaping and have a much higher VG content
