Just asking as I thought it was only possible on top coil tanks? Thanks.....

Depends on the tank - I would be very careful with dry burning any clearomiser as you can scorch the plastic insulators/seals
And that taste will stick around for a very long time.
Any RBA eg kayfun (bottom coil) or Genesis type (top coil) will be fine providing you are not using cotton wicks (it will catch fire)

I found with evods & the protank 2 mini that when i washed them & had the chimney removed from the atty head, & having rinsed the atty head too, i could then dry burn the coil with wick in place but only gently, just pulsing on the button & then stop at the first sign of red hotness. If i carried on it burnt the silica & then it was into the realm of burnt flavour.... Which was nice ! Other than that i dunno really.

yeah i've dry burned protanks and evods loads of times just be careful not to hold the buton too long just short pulses

How did you remove the chimney on the mini protank 2? I couldnt so i gave up at that point. Pair of pliers?

It's not the tank, just the knurled post on the atomizer head. If you hold the bottom with one hand you can pull & rock the tube out with the other. If you use pliers, be careful not to squash it.
