Hey all, not really mod making I'm afraid, but thought this might be the section to seek help. I have a clone hanna dna30. Problem is that as soon as I screw down an atty it starts firing it, no 'fire button' required.

When it is automatically firing a tank the display shows as it would without the tank on it (zero ohms, zero vaults and whatever the wattage is set at). When I press the fire button it changes the display as it should, as in shows the correct resistance and (probably vaguely) accurate voltage.

The only way it stops firing is to take the atty off, therefore is not really of any use. I have started removing the hot glue that was squirted everywhere, mainly trying to get in towards the 510 and the fire button, although I'm not really sure what I'm looking for.

My question is this: could this problem occur from a number of different things, or is there one dodgy connection at one particular place that would make it behave this way?

Any help or advice with this would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds like a knackered board to me, I have replaced a lot of the clone boards for that exact fault. You may well find a little burnt patch on the board if you get it out.

Sounds like the board is fucked and constantly providing mech mod power straight to the Atty, remove your battery, and replace the board, DO NOT keep a battery in the mod

Suggestion

make sure that the -negative side of the fire button is not shorting too the case, this fault will occur if the neg lead of the fire button is connected to the case or barttery neg terminal
