CAP Sugar cookiev2 + CAP Glazed doughnut and some more fails? Need advice

Hey apes, tried today to mixed up som juice today and isnt satisfied with the batch and could need some help


Used in mix 30/70

CAP Sugar cookie v2 @ 5%
CAP Glazed doughnut @ 3 %
FA Bavarian cream DX @ 2 %
FA French vanilla creme @ 3 %
CAP Supersweet @ 0.3 %
CAP Cinnamon danish swirl @ 3%

Did a batch of 10ml, i think i taste a bit Dusty with a hint of something sweet and a little cinnamon (the only taste i gets from it). Im looking for a more Donut taste or cookie taste, maybe some of you can give me a helping push if i should add some more juice or cut some off %

V2 and dx flavours don't contain those delicious diketones and take a notoriously long steep to get near to decent.

For a slightly more convincing doughnut flavour, try a combination of FA Joy and FA Zeppola. CAP glazed doughnut has always had a kind of sickly, waxy kind of doughnut flavour for me and many others and isn't the concentrate of choice if trying to simulate the doughnut experience.

CAP CDS at 3% is like hitting someone over the head with a cinnamon stick. It will dominate your mix. If you want a hint of cinnamon, use a hint of the flavouring or a different cinnamon concentrate like Flavorah Cinnamon crunch.

Yep, you're going to want to put that in a cupboard and leave it a bit. There's a lot of concentrates in your mix so they need time to mix together. The bavarian cream itself will probably take a week or two to come through properly.

Yeah, I use Cap Sugar Cookie V2 a lot and it's not properly done in anything under a month. 6 weeks is best. It's nice, just needs time.

That's a terrible recipe it has to be said. CAP glazed doughnut at 7%, then your 3% Bavarian, then 0.25-0.5% CDS would have been infinitely better. No need to sweeten it, it's already glazed.

I'm with Numpty - I wouldn't be mixing cookie and doughnut.

It will definitely improve with steeping, so put it away for 3 months and in the meantime make another mix with the strawberry replacing the cookie and cinnamon.

You could also try it with CCW Strawberry Jam.

Ditch the sugar cookie V2 it’s crap. Replace it with 0.5% acetyl pyrazine.

Bump the donut to 4%
Drop the cin swirl to 1%

Edited to add - could perhaps try 3% INW shisha strawberry and 1% TFA sweet raspberry for a nice jammy filling.

I haven’t tried this above but sounds like it could be near what you’re after [emoji16]
