charger taking ages......

got the xtar vc8 today and seems to take an age to charge.
my old 2 port xtar takes a couple of hours to do 2 18650's
put 6 in the vc8 and 7 hours later theyre not even up to 2000 mah they're 3500 mah batteries so time will be nearly double that @ 12 hours to charge 6 batteries what is the point of this? i could have charged them faster 2 at a time on my 2 port one lol

VC8 only charges at 0.5A with 6 batteries in it…

This charger is capable of charging 8 cells at 0.5A, 4 cells at 1A, 2 cells at 2A and 1 cell at 3A

yea, my 2 post one charges at 1a so surely 0.5 would take twice as long not a whole day

Are you using a QC3 adapter? No idea what it charges at without.

Don’t know what came with the 2 port one, but you need a QC3 adapter to get the stated charging rates.

I think Samsung use PD fast charge and not QC3. But I am surprised that it won't fall back and just supply standard power. I know nothing about the intricacies of the different types. I do know that you'll need a QC3 adapter to get the best out of your charger.

Where did you buy it?
