And don't buy batteries with "Fire" in their name.
Why not exactly?
I've used ultrafires/trustfires in the past and had zero issues with them.

Because they are wildly inconsistent. It's perfectly possible to buy UF/TF wrappers and stick them on laptop pack pulls. This does quite often happen.
Mostly they're not that great - though some like the Trustfire Flame ones were good till the fakes outnumbered the decent ones. And you won't know which you've got without test gear. I have some fake TF Flames - they are junk - about 800mAh capacity rather than the 2400 it says on the wrapper.
They may, or may not be, OK in a hand-held device but not something you are sticking in your face. Especially as the current draw from some devices can be very, very high.
Batteries don't often go kaboom - but you don't want to be holding one up to your face if it does.
So you're saying that not all *****fire batteries are junk then? and you agree that sourcing a reputable supplier is more important than judging a whole group as something to avoid?I would have said the same once. And IMO AW cells are rather expensive for what you get.
That is not what I said. Not even close. I stand by my original assertion. And hope you never find out whey i made it.
But as far as I'm concerned this has gone far enough. and I'm n o longer prepared to discuss it.
