Hi all unfortunately my SX300 popped on me and although I have others I like it purely for its size. I want to replace the chip but would like to put in an SX350-60W Is this possible ? Or will I have to put the same chip set back in.
This is the chip below.
Thanks

If so im 99% sure it should fit judging by the space inside.

The 350 chip is slightly longer, but the width is the same. As are the screen dimensions.

Not sure how the usb port is mounted though.

This may be the only part that requires a little thinking through, as even my 350 chips seem to have slight variation in the usb board sizes!

Hope this helps crunchynut :)

What mod is it?

I believe it will fit, the screen is the same size and the chip dimensions fit into the space of the box. I purchased one of them sx300 mods from a member a couple of months ago. The board on mine was smelling bad (electrical burning smell). I think the chips must be crap in them tbh.

The problem is the chip is attached, almost suspended to the black pcb/perf board that you've shown in your pic by copper rods/pins. It's daft really. This means you'll either have to just glue in a sx350 without the pcb or rig something up similar with perf/pcb board to make it fit to the mod like the original chip. No biggy I suppose and completely possible.

I contacted yihi about buying the 350 from them. They came back with a quote $50 per pc and $18 shipping.

SX300 G-sensor box mod. It looked like this bit after the pop the inside now looks like the
There should be no issues fitting a 350 you might be better off gutting it and doing a standard build.

You have to help me out here coz although I'm not new to vaping by any means but I am new to building boxes so this would be a first. My plan was to take the old chip out clean it up and put a new sx350 60w chip in. So you saying a standard build you'll have to tell me exactly what you mean
Sorry [emoji16]

The board'll fit, you'll need to take the whole board out and replace it with the SX350. The USB board is separate so it's not an issue. If you need a hand, gimme a yell.
