Coil reading 0.0 ohms??

Dunno about Manchester but little puffer in wigan is damned good.

However, I do suspect your not making contact on your ohm checker, have you tried it on a vw device if you have one? Dont fire it, just use the ohm check function, on a vamo you hold the right adjustment button.

I don't have one mate. Gonna google it to see if there are places I can pick one up from in manchester.

Seriously tho what a pain

Before you send it back, take out the wick and coil and leave them off, then pop it back on your tester, if it reads 0.0 then strip it all down and rebuild paying extra attention to the centre post and insulators. if it reads 9.9 then the problem was the coil and wick...

It showed 0.0 without the wick and coil as well mate.

Ok. So no coil reads the same as with coil.

As others said, your atty is not connecting to your ohm checker, befire recoiling or sending it back, look at your positive pin/screw, if its not slightly protruding or your 510 connection is short you have likely found your issue.

What atty are you using?

Also, where in Manchester are you and do you drive? I'd be happy to have a look if it helps but I'm in wigan.

Bloody hell people, one of you is going to blow your face off one of these days. If a coil reads 0.0 on a checker or any kind of VV/VW MOD that means it is a DEAD SHORT
Any coil or atty that fails to connect will give a reading 0f 9.9 or an error indication on a mod.

THIS IS VITALLY IMPORTANT! IF ANY COIL READS 0.0 DO NOT USE IT... 0.0 MEANS ZERO OHMS THAT IS A SHORT CIRCUIT, BATTERIES EXPLODE WHEN CONNECTED TO SHORT CIRCUITS!!!!!!!!!!!!:banghead:

True and not true, if you had read the OP`s thread first you will notice that he was using an ohms checker. Secondly as pointed out if you connect an atty with no coil it can read 0.0, and lasty just like Diablo I have a couple of small RDA`s that work fine on a mech, read 1.2 on an ohms checker but fail to work on my VV/VW unless I tease the bottom pin out a touch.

I did read the OP thread first and assumed there was a mistake (these things happen)...

I really would not use an ohms checker that confuses open circuit / no connection with short circuit, seems bloody dangerous to me...

Also if it is a kracken, its entirely possible that it IS reading short circuit......its not like they are unknown for the positive post to be shorting out in the negative tube due to sloppy machining.
