Coils burning out quickly, need advice!

Hi everyone, I'm new. And a long term vaper...but kind of inexperienced! Wee back story first......

Been vaping 5 years, probably been on pencig black ice for at least 4 of that. Nothing compares for me!

Never had an issue with coils before and wondering if I've got a bad batch rather than something being wrong. My coils are burning up after less than a day, one usually lasts me about 3 to 4 weeks easy. Below is what I use...

Alternate between Geekvape Aegis mini and leaf ikuu i200 and just screw the same tank onto each. Liquid is vg/pg 80/20, my wattage is at 38 on both and air vents fully opened. I dont like a hot vape, this seems to be my sweet spot lol. Coils I use are Triton aspire 0.15.

Been doing this since December time no issues. Always the same. Always fine. I'm not particularly a chain vaper, nor long vapes.

But the coils I got, same as above, I've gone through one a day. I cant afford that lol.

So I have a few options. Do I just buy a new vape completely (and recommendations please, been looking at vaporesso tarot nano 80w TC kit?) or do I replace the tank?

If I've missed any info please just shout, I really hope someone can point me in the right direction!

Hiya. I can't help directly, as I don't use that kit, but I have heard of people having issues with dud Aspire coils. Hang on, someone will be along tomorrow I'm sure to shed some more light.

Could just be a bad batch - wholesalecoils are said to be a reliable source (and good value) by many on here.

As @Crewella mentioned, sounds like a batch of dud coils. If you've not changed your set up and it's only started happening it's probably a batch issue.
Can you confirm you've not switched juice since?
Reason I ask, 80vg is quite thick so might be gunking up the coils.

Ithankypu for your response. I've been on same juice for years. It is an 80vg, but 0mg so put a 10ml nicshot in too. Nothing changed, all same brand.

Hopefully it's just coils then.

Still wouldn't mind knowing if anyone has the model I'm considering lol

cant help with those mods and tanks as not used them.
coils can have a bad batch now and again.

now ive notice in the past year that a couple of companies have changed their free nic shot. used to be 70/30 nic shot but now send a free 100vg nic shot. if you are using 100vg shot then that will just make the juice way too thick for aspire coils.

ive got the triton 2 tank and use the 0.5 coil. ive not used the 0.15 so just googled and quite a few links show them as Ni200 TC coils only which is a bit worrying as im guessing you are using wattage mode on your mods. these coils should only be used in temperature control mode TC
do your coils have the red banding around the coil and show Ni200 on the box?

Wow thanks for this! So avoid these coils like the plague. I think I might just opt for a brand new setup completely, got the fear now! Also will look for much lower vg nic. So glad I came on here now!

sorry wasnt intended to scare you shitless. the exact same happened to me 4-5 years ago when the biggest wattage mod was the istick50 with a 14watt tank. i won a freemax pro tank which had 50w coils so i tried them and was blown away as back then 15watts was a lot. i then posted on here about it and was warned in not so many words but stop now as its very dangerous as i could get nickel poisoning. i tried TC twice and much prefered wattage mode so dumped all the nickel and titanium coils i had.
stainless steel coils are the only ones that can be used in both wattage and TC.

anyway, if you do decide on a new kit ask here before you buy as we have discounts for a lot of vendors.
