What's new

concentrates

To save potential disasters when modifying unsatisfactory liquids I'll decant 2ml or so into a little bottle, add whatever flavour I want, shake it up and bung it straight into a clearo. If it's gross you can bin it and try again. That way you don't ruin the whole bottle!

A couple of drops in a bottle or tank will work fine. If you stick to flavours you're confident will go well together, you're unlikely to make a bad juice any worse.

When I'm testing a new blend or new concentrates, I will often blend directly into a tank, add some unflavoured base I mix up in advance (remembering to factor in the percentage of flavour to be added later, to keep nic, PG and VG at the desired ratios) then give the whole thing a REALLY good shake. It won't be steeped, so not the perfect, rounded flavours it will develop over time, but gives a good indication of whether I'm on the right track (and they do steep in the tank if I'm flitting across flavours and it takes a while to get through it).

Once you do have a good idea of preferred balance, it's always best to then go with a bottle so it can be steeping (even if you can't wait to vape a bit of it, the rest will be maturing).

For those who like menthol, that would probably blend well with a lot of fruit flavours (you can buy that in cherry, raspberry and others).

Coconut goes with lots of fruits and with rum, cola etc

Creams, caramels, rum, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, chocolates all blend well with each other

Of course virtually all fruits will compliment each other

I would've thought most tobaccos would blend well with practically any other flavour

Just remember that you will slightly reduce the nic content and increase the PG (assuming your concentrates are PG based) with every addition to an existing juice. Probably not enough to make a significant difference unless you get a bit carried away.

thats how i started mixing jo when i started vaping a year ago there was nothing i liked all to weak as most juices are flavoured between 7 & 20 % tops i realised i liked a coffee vape at say 30% high but nice. i liked my ry4 to be say 15/20 so i played with it a bit and soon found it was a great way to improve crappy juices. take in to consideration that adding extra will lower your nic content as u like the lower nic levels you should be fine. experiment with different concentrates i have a list of good quality good price vendors just ask and ill send you some good names.

Awesome, thanks for all the help guys.

Luke, I LOVE coffee flavoured vapes :D

The Irish Coffee concentrate from the above vendor is REALLY nice

I then did a blend of Irish Coffee, Old English Toffee and a little bit of cream and cinnamon flavouring. I wasn't 100% sure I liked it with the cream flavour, but it has grown on me (or mellowed out after a few days).

Still - Irish Coffee on its own is pretty damn good

I am sure I read somewhere about food flavourings not being suitable for use in e-liquid?
Not sure where I read that now. Pretty sure it was on this forum though. Also not sure what the reason was.

I've bookmarked that ebay seller anyway. Reckon I might be using some of those. I am liking the sound of Rose and Lavender (not together) in a base liquid maybe with lemon.

The ejuice flavourings are food grade - you just have to ensure that they're based in a suitable carrier (such as PG), which Kulr had already done directly with the vendor.

Contents are: PG, Water, approved flavourings - exactly what you'd find in an ejuice concentrate. The only difference is that the ejuice concentrates don't list their ingredients!

I was tempted by the rose & lavender as well, could make really soothing vapes (and make the room smell good at the same time). I might pop some of those in the next shopping basket

Another question now. I now have a few empty bottles from e-liquids I have used up. Can you use these again for other liquids, and if so, how do you get the smell and taste out from the previous liquid?
Can you use washing up liquid or will that taint the flavour when steeping a new liquid?

I think I am wanting to get started on mixing now. I do have new, empty, needle-tip bottles but still want to wash these prior to use just because I don't know where they have been etc.
